I wanted the day off so bad today. I am definitely feeling burned out, anxious and grumpy. I literally sat in my Jeep for an hour in the parking lot eating my oatmeal and contemplating taking the day off. My ideal day would be hiking in the Adirondacks, breathing fresh air and taking a nap in a hammock tied to two huge trees in the woods. Instead, I’ll be doing data analysis on military sexual assaults. Sometimes adulting sucks. #adultingishard#adulting#careerwoman#armystrong
Today we hiked 10.2 miles with 20lbs rucks at Sky Top trail. It’s right behind the athletic training center at Syracuse university. There was pretty much every terrain and view you can imagine. We even found a graffiti yard which had this amazing abandoned spooky feel. We hiked around a giant quarry and through fields of flowers and TONS of climbing and forest trails. Over all it’s a really good hike and I would say the difficulty level is more advanced than moderate- but it’s nice to know this stuff is right in our backyard!!!
Legit my favorite meal. Spinach, berries, goat cheese and nuts. I literally crave it! If you had asked me a couple years ago what my favorite meal was- it would have been pastas and meat and sauce and tons of sugar for dessert. It took me about a year to rethink my food choices and how they effect my body. I spent a year on #ww and lost 74lbs. I’ve spent the last few months maintaining my weight loss by eating foods that are good for me. I don’t count calories, I allow treats and practice restriction on elimination. I also became a runner. I haven’t gained any weight back but at this point I’m more focused on a wellness journey than a number on the scale journey. ❤️
