The upcoming Milwaukee Repertory Theater (@milwrep) productions are #junkmke in the Quadracci Powerhouse, #riverofsongmke in the Stackner Cabaret, and #thechineseladymke in the Stiemke Studio! Be excited because "Junk" is direct from Broadway, "River of Song" is a World Premiere production, and "The Chinese Lady" examines immigration.
James DeVita's "Christmas in Babylon" is one of the best productions I've attended during the 2018-2019 theatre season. Probably attending the remaining Milwaukee Chamber Theater's 2018-2019 season. Oh yes, the Broadway Theatre Center is equally addicting, akin to the Milwaukee Rep. P.S. Can someone help me step out of my comfort zone, regarding exploring the Milwaukee theatre scene? Thanks. 😂💗
Theatre was considered a treat during my childhood. I've obviously thrown that out the window during my adulthood. Milwaukee is so lucky to have the most incredible arts scene, as I am able to advocate for the local film and theatre scenes. It is DIFFICULT being involved in both film and theatre, but as I've explored the theatre scene, the arts marketing continues to call my name. Marketing is fascinating, as I am practically teaching it to myself due to I am not earning the arts management degree (majoring in film studies). Nonetheless, the best 2018-2019 theatre productions thus far are the Milwaukee Rep's "In The Heights", "Guards at the Taj", and "The All Night Strut", the Skylight Music Theater's "Hairspray", and the Milwaukee Chamber Theater's "Christmas in Babylon". #supportthearts#milwaukeetheater
