Taking a break from the gram 🙃 Last shirtless pic for a little while 🤣 I made a goal two years ago that I wanted to look good (with or without a shirt) 😅 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Self rehabilitation and research allowed me to get back into training after numerous injuries. I had a goal. I committed to it even when I felt miserable, insecure, tired and defeated. Here I am. Same trials. Improved mindset. Each morning is a reset button. I still combat the same insecurities and fears as I did when I first started. I know people can relate to that. That’s life sometimes. So I follow a few guidelines. Take it or leave it. It’s just what I’ve learned: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Don’t compare yourself ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. Consistency triumphs ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. Show respect for each repetition and workout ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 4. Know that it’s a long term investment and you WILL look back and thank yourself ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 5. Ignore doubters, because they don’t see what you see in yourself ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 6. On your worst day, get in the gym and stick to it. If you can push through days like that, (when you’re at your worst) you’re doing yourself a huge favor 7. Age is a factor. Not a limitation. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 8. Don’t let your thoughts about yourself or the road ahead hold you captive ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ #gymshark#army#progress#progresspic#training#aesthetic#aesthetics#connormurphy#zyzz#competition#crossfit#underarmour#gymnastics#motivation#bangenergy
