📍SOHO, NYC: I’m not going to tag the location because this place really isn’t worth going to. Just posting this cus it’s a nice pic and it didn’t taste bad (when is clam linguine ever bad?). Nothing else at this place was good though so save yourself and go to one of the hundred other pasta places in nyc 🤘 #feasties#feastiesnyc
So I heard many people grumbling to me that Casa Nostra is fully booked till September... 😂 Well... we just have to remember that our friend Antonio is cooking outta passion and this private kitchen is hardly his full-time job! He’s actually a towkay dealing in bags and watches! 😂 That’s another story for you to find out in your next visit to his home! 😬 Old friends like me have my monthly Sunday lunch seat at his table... so I am not complaining! 🤣 Anyway, he probably makes the best Cannoli Siciliani you can find here in Singapore 🇸🇬. I’ve had cannolis in Roma and Firenze... and they were ridiculously sweet.... I think I pee-ed sugar crystals after eating them.... 😅supposedly branded ones over there. I’m spoiled by my angmoh friend. His iteration is usually light... with ricotta cheese and pistachios... 😋... usually... it’s a gorgeous cover pic, isn’t it?! 😂 We has 2 Neapolitan pizzas - prosciutto and arugula, as well as marinara. 😋 2 starters. Tuna carpaccio with dried tuna, and iwashi (sardines) in olive oil. The highlight of the lunch was the pasta alla Genovese 😋, a meatless ragu which ironically wasn’t a pasta dish from Genoa but Napoli! 😅 I learn something new everyday! 😬 The meat is usually served separately but I’ll be really upset if there is no meat for a carnivore like me! 😂 So shredded beef topping it is! 🤣 extra dessert of freshly made Hazelnut Gelato... churned right in front of your eyes with a semi-pro $4k gelato machine. 🤪 almost forgot about the 3 slabs of Striploin steaks which I didn’t take photos of! we only had 5 bottles for lunch as German and TK were completely wiped out the night before and totally put off by any hint of wine in their mouth! 🤣 @ireneluvwines the biodynamic vinas del cambrico was v good indeed. Rated the best wine of the afternoon. 👍 I also brought two Fleuries... this time by Anne Sophie Dubois... ok but no cigar... though the lunch group did really
PROTEIN BROWNIES anyone?! So we got like a ton of @missjonesbakes organic baking goods and let me just say these babies are so moist and yummy!!! We added some @ancientnutrition protein to them because, why not!? 🤷🏻♀️ Happy Sunday! DeAts below!👇🏼 1 cup chocolate cake mix @missjonesbakes 2 ripe bananas 2 heaping tablespoons honey peanut butter @fixandfogg 1/2 packet @ancientnutrition pure bone broth protein powder Process in food processor. Swirl in 1 tablespoon salted caramel frosting @missjonesbakes Pour batter into baking pan lined with parchment paper. Bake 30ish minutes. Let cool 😎 Topped with more salted caramel frosting! Enjoy! . . . .
