Je höher es wird, je tiefer der Blick ins Tal geht und je freier die Aussicht Richtung Himmel ist, desto leichter fühlt sich das Leben an. Honestly. There have been some moments in my life where I've thought, "I'm going to throat punch this person." There have been some moments in my life where I have thought, I'm going to lose my shit and get right down to the line and cut them out (there are moments where I still do that, I'm not perfect). There have been moments that instead of letting go, I've held onto some heavy anger. Still a work in progress and it's getting better. Yoga gives me the foundation of a sturdy mountain. It does more than ground me it keeps me solid, connected and after a few deep cycles of Nadi Shodhana, Dancing or Asana I'm not as angry as I was in the beginning. When I was 17 years old I spent 30 days at an in-patient rehab facility for a serious drug addiction. Even though I wouldn’t actually stop using until another 6 or so years later.... what I learned in rehab stayed with me for life.⠀ ⠀ I had never really had or needed discipline or personal accountability before rehab. In rehab I learned how to take care of myself, to make my bed, workout in the AM, meditate, and pray. ⠀ ⠀ Ever since my month long stay at inpatient, I’ve always believed that EVERYONE would benefit tremendously from rehab- discipline, personal development, spiritual growth and developing healthy habits.⠀ ⠀ But you don’t have to be an “addict” or stay for an entire month to get the benefits of a program like this. Made this stuffed capsicum for dinner last night @happybuddharetreats 🤩🕺💃🧘🏾♂️🙏🏼 For stuffing I used diced onion , cooking oil , garlic , curry powder, nutritional yeast, salt. Chopped eggplant, zucchini & carrot . Shredded hard tofu , fresh coriander and tomatoes . Method: fried onion and garlic and added every thing cooked for 5 minutes and than stuffed in capsicum. 🍆🌶🥕💃

Who plays the comparison game on social media? Wishing you could look like, act like, live like, love like other people you see. . . . ✋🏻I do. Well I should say, I do occasionally and it’s decreasing steadily. Instead I’m striving to use that feeling that was once jealousy as inspiration. . . . I have spent a good portion of my night taking pictures of my yoga poses...lots of pictures. I am not happy with any of them. I’m cool with that though. It’s not negative self talk but real critique. I do not think I have ever pushed myself this hard and I am so proud of myself, pictures be damned.
