When we learn to trust ourselves, we gain access to an enormous power within us - power to become a conscious creator of your life. Below are 5 exercises to build self-trust. ✍️Write a list of all the things you already trust yourself to do or be (eg. I trust myself to take care of my health - eat well and engage in physical activity). ✍️Write down what your are good at - what you’ve been praised and admired for, what makes you feel accomplished, and what you feel you do well. ✍️ Do more of what you like to do and what comes easy to you. Chances are - forcing yourself into something that is absolutely not your cup of tea is not going to help you find satisfaction in life. ✍️Stop waiting for someone to save you. If you truly need help, there are going to be people around you who will be able and willing to assist you. But you carry the full responsibility for all the decisions you make and their consequences. No one else has control over what happens to you. Write down everything you blame others for, and put this list away for a week. Read it aloud after a week, and ask yourself if it still makes sense. ✍️There are no mistakes - only lessons. Write down a list of all the situations that taught you something and facilitated a positive change in your life. ✍️Make it a rule to first try any problem yourself and ask your own advice before going to others. ✍️Meditate. You can either choose a mindfulness meditation to get in touch with your senses and intuition, or pick a mantra (or even create one for yourself) to connect with your inner teacher and do a mantra meditation.
