MEDITATION . I always struggle with meditation because I do not find it easy to sit still and my mind is too chattering to relax and I know this is exactly the reason why you think I should do it but it is just not my thing. . HOWEVER today I had a wonderful connection, I shall say re-connection, with meditation through a fantastic meditation teacher and book editor which I wanted to share with you. . It WILL put meditation in a completely new perspective and I am feeling freaking awesome about it. 🙌🤗😃 . KEY TAKE OUTS FOR THE DAY: 🍀KEEP IT SIMPLE - meditation can simply be watching how the colour changes when hot water pour onto a tea bag. Masculine, Feminine, yin & yang. It's so intriguing the differences our journeys can hold. Recently I've noticed to how this pertains to the body and our experience of physical pleasure & in particular self pleasure & masturbation. . . . The more I delve into this state of awakening or learning about persuing a higher consciousness, the more I have noticed patterns in literature & videos to do with conscious men & conscious women. . . .What I kept finding was are practicing abstinence in a search for or connecting with something higher within the self, whereas it seemed women as a conscious movement are sitting within their feminine power and taking back that power that in some western cultures has been lost over time. Day 43/365 — #dailymove365 ———————————————— Trying my best to re-create a flow that I saw today by @at_the_mat . Very similar to the first move of the flow I posted yesterday and then the transition to this underhand low bridge was less than welcoming for me at the current moment 😂 . It is quite difficult not having a knee that still does not bend all the way and gives me significant pain when brought to its limit of flexion.. . I am not sure that I will ever have full freedom in my right knee ever again and I'm coming to grips with accepting that if it is to be the case. . Movement is not about being perfectly symmetrical on both sides because we are not symmetrical beings in the first place. . I had to wrestle with this idea for a while because I had (and still have) a bit of OCD making sure that I can do a skill on both sides. . So maybe I will never have a full range of motion in this knee who knows.. But being here in Brazil I see dogs and cats with missing limbs and I see that they are still alive and living to the best of their ability. . Of course, having to adapt to the reality that is.. and if it is a loss, then adapt, and work around it. You actually learn more this way. . This is a constant in my life...lots.of.changes happening, and fast, it's challenging to keep up. I feel overwhelmed, I feel inadequate to meet my own expectations, I feel like I'm not doing enough...I am soooo good at rationalising basically anything...I am neck up (neocortex to brainstem and back)....a total disconnect of the 💓. It's severed...I know why... rationalising basically helped me survive for years...and like most people who have experienced repeated traumas over the years, well we find ways to cope...and although it served a purpose then...as an adult it's usually unhealthy and can be very hurtful to self and to others. Sooo...how do I tap into my heart...and really sit in what I feel?... actually for me.it would just be dipping my toes at this point. My therapist told me to watch sad movies...so I could learn to emote...to let myself cry...and to let it just pour out of me....I have the hardest time doing this...and you know what? My biggest fear is? Since this is so difficult for me...how am able to do this for my boys? The overwhelming feelings are scary...so I sit back and rationalise it, i try to make sense of it..but sometimes I'm learning I don't need to do that...I need to just ALLOW myself to feel it...😪😭. I fight it though...I get stuck in my head and let it fester....but then I want it to change...right now...to be the better version of me now. It's unrealistic...I have to do the work, and let change happen with time..and.i definitely need the support to remind me that change doesn't happen overnight. So I'll.jidt do it one day at a time..I'll keep showing up, being accountable, having the healthy conversations, and let the changes happen with time...that's all
