hello love, __ life seems endless to the child, but it shortens as our minds grow wiser. we begin to see that life is a gift, even more so for the fact that it’s here and gone in the blink of an eye. __ sit out in the sun. laugh sitting amongst the things you love. and keep those things close, hold onto them with both hands, and teeth, if need be. fight for your life, for the one you deserve. but, in the end, love your life. love the life you give to others, because that’s the thing you will be remembered for the most when you are gone. •not how you lived, but how you inspired others to live.• __ thanks @adrienneyoungbooks for sending me this manuscript of The Girl the Sea Gave Back (i won it in a giveaway). __ have a wonderful day beautiful booklovers. i love this platform because of you☀️
✨💖 #currentlyreading#bookstack 💖✨ 📖 well, not all at once. but these are all in the #tbr queue!! (except THE HATING GAME. i AM currently reading that one and it's so hard to put down!! there's some adult language & mushy content, but it's definitely a compulsive read, and i can't wait to see how the author keeps changing my expectations for where a seemingly predictible #romcom is going!! ☺️💕🤓🔥📚✨🖋😂) 🥰 i needed a break from #yafantasy just because the the politics and evil, corrupt governments were depressing me... 😂 so i've turned to some romcoms for affirmation that life is good. ☺️💕 📖 as a #moodreader, what are your overwhelmed, therefore go-tos? 😅💜 📚 #storieswithstephmay19 : #pinkandblue#aurora bookstack 💖💙 #readingadventuresmay19 : expedition everest: impossible quest? A Court of My Torn Heart Because I Love Tamlin and Rhysand and Choosing Between Them Should Be Illegal by Sarah J Mass 🌹 After so long I've finally hopped on the #acotar train and I do not plan on getting off! Choo choo here I come!! 🚂 . . Did I love the book? Yes. Did I find it a little slow in the middle? Yes, but the ending really made up for it. Did Sarah J Maas really make fairies a thing? She did! . . I'm so excited to start A Court of Mist and Fury to see how Feyre (the names though like can we have a meeting with all fantasy authors and discuss this issue) deals with the Night Court while still figuring her self out at the Spring Court! 🌹 Have any of you read this series? Let me know your thoughts!!
Happy Saturday babes! ☕️✨ ____ STORY-TIME. You see that there bundle of grass over yonder...? 😂 I stole it from someone’s house. Not even lying. (Instead of The Boy Who Steals Houses, I am-The Girl Who Steals Grass 😂. Wait, that actually has a nice ring to it lmao.) A hay field had been mowed by a tractor and there was a patch of grass just laying there all pretty with tiny flowers in it!! (but the book is covering most of the flowers in the pics). So I just grabbed a handful, walked back into the house (the dead grass bits got eeeeverywhere, do not recommend) and shoved it into my backpack 😂. Idk if taking grass is considered “stealing”, but it sure felt like it when the lady who lives at the house walked inside while I was frantically SHOVING GRASS INTO MY BACKPACK. It was kind of embarrassing but I don’t think she saw. We’re friends, so I don’t think she would have been mad or anything but how do you explain taking a bunch of dead grass from her yard home? The things I do for props...I just like dead flowers & useful looking grass OKAY. 😂😂 I don’t usually buy props, I make them or take them from the ground lol. ____ ❓What’s the weirdest thing you’ve done for Bookstagram? . . .📖 follow me! @alluringpages .📖 goodreads profile link in bio 🥀 . . . #books#bookaesthetic#aesthetic#bookworm#library#booklover#literature#bookstagram#novel#ya#fiction#fantasy#author#yafantasy#bookstagrammer#vintage#bookishfeature#ilovebooks#yabooks#bookobsessed#avidobooks#bookstagramfeatures#bookishfeatures#bookstagramit#bookishphotography#photography#flatlay#bookmap
The second type of ending to a book is a change of heart. A character desires something when they first set out on in the escape but over the quest and finally in the climax there is usually an ultimate choice to be made. Do I get what I want or do I do what is right? More on this 05/28
Review Vrouwe Middernacht van Cassandra Clare. ☆☆☆. #cassandraclare
“The Olden Blade was in its usual spot, tucked in a garter around my right thigh. But I’d deliberately worn a skirt with only a single sash around the waist today, so it wouldn’t be hard to get to the weapon when I needed it.” . After a couple months of sitting on my shelf, I finally found the time to read The Deceiver’s Heart by Jennifer A. Nielsen, the sequel to The Traitor’s Game. . Where the first book was a pulse pounding race against time to find a magical dagger, this book begins with the assassination attempt the first title was building towards. And because that was how it began (and this isn’t Assassin’s Creed), it fails. And our protagonist finds herself turned into an unknowing and unwitting servant of the big baddy, her memories and skills that threaten him gone. While it might seem like an odd start, it ended up lending itself to some very interesting character interactions and development, especially when it comes out how much characteristics are part of a person, regardless of what they lose. . Of course, there’s also a bunch of action. From simple fights to a chaotic forest battle, much of the action ends up following the other POV character, who I liked reading but he wasn’t the more compelling of the two. Even so, his sections are important to the larger narrative and help to show just how much of the other character is and isn’t herself through the entire story. . One part war of resistance, one part rediscovery, The Deceiver’s Heart expands upon the book which came before and grows every wonderful, enjoyable, and interesting aspect into a greater form of itself. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #thedeceiversheart#thetraitorsgame#jenniferanielsen#scholastic#yafantasy#yafiction#fantasybooks#magicknife#magic#bookstagram#bookquotes#books📚 #bookphoto#bookphotography#bookshelf#bookreview#bookrec#bookrecommendations#bookish#bookworm#booksbooksbooks#youngadultbooks
A long time ago, in a social media app called Instagram a community arose: Bookstagram. Time lines were in order, not by engagement, but by time and date, and posts received likes almost immediately. Comments, were left only as sincere questions or insights into the books posted, and not as a means to boost a post. This week while I’m on vacation, I am disabling comments on my posts. That way I can spend my limited time on bookstagram interacting with YOUR posts without stressing about returning comments on my posts like: “this is so pretty!” with: “thanks!” If you WANT to chat about the books I’ve posted please feel free to PM me! I love talking about books and this will give us a sincere base to chat one on one and get to know each other! 📖 #bookstagram#yafantasy#bookaddict#reading#bookworm#bibliophile#yabooks#yareads#bookstagrammer#reader#yalovin#yalit#booknerd#redbooks#rainbowstack#bookstack#rainbowbooks
Happy Saturday! What have you been reading lately? . These are the two books that I read this week! I adored The Near Witch! It was spooky and amazing. I’m realizing that I just love everything that @veschwab writes! I definitely recommend. . I also finished Wicked Saints but didn’t love it! . Do you have any fun plans this weekend? We’ll be spending a few more days with my parents before they head back home and we’re going to a barbecue later today! ☀️
Do you own a kindle? If you do, do you solely read on that or do you read physical as well? I've always loved phycisal books and still do, but have more then once considered a kindle simply for being more portable especially when moving house. But I've been super tentative about getting one, I didn't want to spend money and then realise I didn't like it. Recently I was chatting to a customer /friend in work, talking about my dilema and she offered me a spare kindle she had at home! For 20euro! So, I've also discovered how cheap e books can be which is brilliant when I'm constantly agonising over not having enough money for books I want. I plan to still buy and read physical books but any particularly good e book bargains and books I don't know for certain if I'll like will be bought digitally first. Here I got The Priory of the Orange Tree for £2 and am saving my hand and my work bag some weight when I get to reading this hunk of a book. 🤣😊 ___________ #booklovers#bookstagram#bookworm#lovebooks#yafantasy#yabooks#fantasybooks#adultfantasy#magical#wizards#pages#yaromance#romance#action#torbooks#biblophile#bookish#igreads#instagramreads#lovereading#potot

How do you deal with pressure and stress while writing? Sometimes a break is all you need. Like this bath. 🛀🏾 It can all be pretty difficult. I'm leaving for Vegas in a few days, and I'm stressing that my second draft/first draft is still not done. My goal is to finish it by June so my editor can get her hands on it. 🤞🏾 wish me luck! - - - How is your day going?😁📚
Hello Booklings! ✨❤️🍄❤️✨ • #fantasywipmay QOTD: plotter or pantser? • AOTD: if you’ve been following me for a while, you know what I prefer to be called. For those of you who are new, I prefer the term “plantser” as I’m a pretty even mix of both. I didn’t plot out AS at all, but I’ve since made outlines for books 2&3, and stuck with them pretty well! I think maybe I was just struggling to get the foundation outlines there. But now that the first book and all the major world building elements are in place, it’s much easier for me to plan events out!
