I bought this dress over a year ago when I was at goal and the one and only time it fit on my body was in the dressing room at @nordstromrack. I took it home intending to wear it for a special occasion that never came, and by the time I decided to wear it for my birthday in July, I was up almost 30lbs on the scale, and I couldn’t even get the sides of the zipper to touch, let alone close. Six months earlier it had fit and now it wasn’t even close, I was absolutely devastated. I held on to the dress for one day when I got back to goal, but every time I saw it in my closet my heart ached 💔 . Fast forward to NOW! I was sifting through my closet looking for something to wear and this dress caught my eye. Instead of feeling a little pang of sadness, I felt hope! I’m not back to my lowest weight yet, and I may never get there, but that little voice in my head said to me, you’ve been killing it with @ww and the gym lately, try it on, see what happens! And wouldn’t you believe it, the darn thing fit like a dream! Even better than in the dressing room!!! ❣️ . So the lesson I learned from this? Don’t wait to wear the dress, just wear it. And don’t focus on the scale because it’s not always going to show your true progress! #facetofacefriday I have had a rough week. My hip/leg is hurting and it’s keeping me from enjoying life. So I’ve been very emotional and feeling defeated. Seeing this side by side reminds me of how far I’ve come. Don’t get me wrong, I am proud of my progress, I just feel like I’m not progressing anymore. I know this is just temporary but it’s still hard.
Friday lunch time it’s my routine I have a weekly catch up after my workshop with my bestie, usually I opt for a skinny latte and protein bar but I thought what the hell today I’m having a sarnie as I always end up coming home and eating something that’s higher in points than I planned, I know the sarnie and drink cost me 17sp bit it was totally worth it. #facetofacefriday on LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!! These photos are one year apart. I had already lost 25(ish) lbs in the photo on the right and was feeling so much better. Now, I’m down 70 lbs! Happy Friday!! 🎉😍
Truthfully I can’t believe I made this happen. I made a few mistakes last weekend but was able to get it together during the week and pull through. My goal was to be down 30lbs by my birthday (Monday) but today is the closest weigh in day. I’m down 30.2 lbs as of this morning! 🙌🏼 This is even more motivation for me to make good choices and try and stay on track this week on vacation. Happy Friday babes! 💕
