“You’re doing the best you can,” I felt God whisper to me as I counted the seconds left on the microwave, watching my cold coffee spin around. I was in a daze, desperate for relief from my own mind. Was I doing enough? Was I working hard enough? Was I touching enough lives? The thoughts continued to spin with my coffee cup until the buzz of the microwave snapped me back into reality. But God wanted me to know that HE knows I’ve been doing the best I can. And He wants you to know the same thing. xx The end of each week, we can either choose to be proud of what we’ve accomplished, big or small, or dwell on what we “should’ve” accomplished. As we head into the weekend and a holiday week, let’s let God pat us on the back for all we did and then stop and rest in Him. You deserve a break, friend. You don’t have to keep striving. He loves you where you are for who you are, not for where you’re going or what you’ve done.
