Epic day brewing plans for @vetsinternational, traveling as fast as possible between meetings, but I am reminded that nature is far more impressive. Peregrine falcons, nature’s fastest animals on record which can reach speeds over 320 km/hr, have come to the Big Apple and the Brooklyn bridge to nest (we currently have 16 pairs). Do they feel our fast pace? Are they trying to tell us something?
I know I'm way outside of the timeline on this challenge; my attentions were pulled away, but I'm no quitter, so finishing it out regardless💁🏻♀️ For Day 8 of #yogiget2knowme ~ #dancer & What was your proudest moment from the past twelve months? There are several moments from the past year I'm pretty proud of, but my most proud involved a major shift within. Went through a pretty significant breakup last summer. Our story began in '09, so a good bit of history & emotion behind it. Spent the first month at my mom's somewhat ignoring my feelings, and the next back home processing them.. I thought it'd affect me longer.. thought it'd be harder to let go.. I definitely felt the initial emotional shock deeply; and my mind swirled in chaos from all the other changes that would come along with the close of that chapter.. felt like the Universe I was in was being ripped apart.. Well I realized it was indeed; and therein lie the beauty. And the moment I saw it, couldn't possibly be unseen🌸 I was overcome by wonder~excitement~desire~freedom🍃 I literally felt my inner being step through to an entirely new Universe..a better one✨ As I reflected, I realized how much I'd attracted the change myself..for myself. It was something my soul had been yearning for; she just struggled to overpower the heart, so the Universe worked it out for me💫 And from there, it was easy. All I could see was opportunity & magic🧚🏻♀️ By letting go of one thing, I felt I was gaining everything💞 So, proudest moment was stepping into this new Universe fully embracing the unknown, with no looking back, knowing there's much more greatness in store for me here✨🦋✨ And thought I'd share my dancer vid (swipe👉🏼) which made me laugh because I fall out immediately where I've cut the clip and in real life thought there's nooo way I got a shot
I went exploring with some big kids this Monday! My daughter, her friends & I went off in search for SNOW.❄️ Living in southern California, snow is not something we normally see up close and personal, all too often. As a family we try to make a point to go to the snow at least once a year to play, frolic and become insanely cold. After some travel, loud singing & classic road trip car games, we found some in our local mountains, up by Frazier Park! We all had some rides on the boogie board (did I say we are from California?!) While the kids were busy playing snowball baseball & having ninja snow attacks on each other, I took some time to stop and look at the little things. ❄️ It's always so amazing to see the immense detail of the beauty of nature around us. The different textures were fascinating, along with the contrast of the vivid colors. We had a welcomed picnic of homemade sandwiches & a hot cocoa break as we sat in the brisk white winter wonderland surrounding us. It was a wonderful & beautiful day. 🌲❄️⛄️ What are some of your family winter traditions? #family#snow#takethetime#friends#explore#play#feelthebreeze#cold#cocoa#winter#wildwoodswonderland#godisanamazingartist#wonder#celebrate#roadtrip#outofstate#licenseplate#livelife#onholiday#mlkquotes#mlk
When a loving person can do good for others, or sees that others are happy, they them selves live happily and in this way give glory to God, for “God loves a cheerful giver” (2 Cor 9:7). Our Lord especially appreciates those who enjoy in the happiness of others. If we fail to learn how to rejoice in the well-being of others, and focus primarily on our own needs, we condemn our- selves to a joyless existence, for, as Jesus said, “it is more blessed to give than to receive” (Acts 20:35). The family must always be a place where, when something good happens to one of its members, they know that others will be there to celebrate it with them. #nature#sky#clouds#sea#rock#photography#scene#reflection#traveller#yogi#wonder#beauty#follow#followforfollowback
Sharing a book that my girls loved growing up called, “When the World was New.” As parents, we don’t just meet the basic needs of our children. We meet basic, physical, mental-emotional, and spiritual needs. We also do our best to give them many opportunities to find out how they are uniquely designed. Even at the infant and toddler stages we see strengths in them, As they grow we discover some of the things that make them tick. We learn what things come easy and help them develop skills to develop those strengths. We also teach them how regulate their emotions when they become frustrated. We give them lots of opportunity discover why they enjoy doing one activity over another... and we invest in those things as they grow older to help them find and enjoy their path in life. #teachwonder#encouragetheirdreams Reading carefully selected books create moments for cuddles and questions. Reading books and telling stories that share your culture, your heritage and your faith are important. You have heard the saying...”whatever feeds your soul, do that.” Well, what about feeding the soul of your little person? #wonder together, #dream#together, #legacy Teach them #scripture, and #songs from an early age.
