Hi!! There are a lot of new faces around here, so I wanted to introduce myself, and tell you a bit more about what you can expect from me. I’m a lawyer, which means pretty much everyone has some idea of what I’m going to be like before they meet me. That’s why my favorite compliment lately is when I hear “you are not a normal lawyer!” haha. This is true. So who am I? Yes – I’m an attorney, and I love it. I get to use my knowledge and experience to help small businesses and solopreneurs understand how to easily and affordably protect their online coaching or consulting business with DIY templates, trainings, and a neat and tidy little ebook jam packed with info. But the best part about my job? I’m seriously jazzed about it. I LOVE IT. (A lawyer who loves her job? I know…) Almost 2 years ago I decided to take a stand for myself, when I was pregnant and staring down the barrel of a partnership track that was not into a “flex” or part-time schedule. It suddenly all seemed bizarre to me, that we allow others to dictate our lives in exchange for money. I wanted to spend more than 12 weeks home with my son after he was born – work when I wanted, and not work when I wanted. So, with the support of my husband (which was HUGE by the way), I did it. We did it. And damnit…it worked. Now not only do I get to set my schedule (ok let’s be honest, my 14 month old does that), but I get to take a stand for other women and business owners as well. Teaching them how to protect what they’re working hard to build, so they will be one step closer to achieving their vision and making their dreams and reality. What’s your stand?
Instead of “I can’t afford to...”, try “how can I afford to?” Instead of “I can’t do that...”, try “who can teach me?” Instead of putting it in the “too hard” basket, try welcoming the challenge, and growth. Instead of relying on someone else, try just doing the damn thing yourself. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ This is my third trip to the states in the last twelve months. I dreamt of travelling to LA my whole life. 🌴🌵 But I used to tell myself stories of how it was too expensive, too far and too hard with kids. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ That’s not the only story I used to tell myself. A job that felt purposeful and fun? Couldn’t have it. A partner who supported me and wanted the same things in life? No way. Freedom to live the life I desired? HA! Are you kidding me? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ If you haven’t noticed, I want ALL the things. There’s only one person who can make that happen. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ What stories are you holding onto that don’t serve you? What bullshit are you telling yourself that isn’t true? ❤️ If you’re ready to start working through your stuff- download the FREE journal prompts in my bio. Let’s do this together. #alignedaf ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Ps: is it weird that coming back here feels like home? Each time I come back I fall in love with LA a little more 🥰
What if instead of trying to let go you tried to let IN? . Letting go usually comes with so much resistance because in most cases your trying to let of something painful and something that you don’t like and don’t want. . Letting in has no resistance and momentum behind it like letting go does. . Letting in is on the frequency of desire, love, hope, appreciation and feeling good. . ❥ Focus on letting in more of fun and joy and what you’ll discover is that everything that you want will also tag along and join the party. And the best part of all? Everything you want to let go will just disappear at the right time without you even doing a thing! 🌸 #supersouldaily#letlovein#trusttheprocess
When we're relaxed and smiling our best, most authentic smile, it signals confidence. Not only to others - perhaps more importantly - also to ourselves. Smiling affects how we feel, so if we want to feel happier and more confident, smiling more can help! ☺︎ “When we try to fake confidence or enthusiasm, other people can tell that something is off, even if they can’t precisely articulate what that thing is. In fact, when job applicants try too hard to make a good impression through nonverbal tactics such as forced smiles, it can backfire, interviewers dismiss them as phony and manipulative.” -Amy Cuddy, PhD in her bestselling book ‘Presence: Bringing Your Boldest Self to Your Biggest Challenges’ (2015) ☺︎ ☺︎ So, what exactly is a ‘real’ smile? ☺︎ ☺︎ Look at the eyes. It’s all in the eyes. If the eyes aren’t smiling, we don’t buy it. If the lips are grinning but the eyes are not, we don’t trust what we see, and we perceive the person as fake. ☺︎ ☺︎ Learn more about confidence in the upcoming workshop on March 8th! BTW… early bird tickets just went LIVE, so hop on over to www.BozemanWomen.com, or follow the link in our bio to get involved! ☺︎
Home, sweet, home, but I’m missing my other half. Kyle stayed for the March, but I had plans with Katie to see Misty Copeland at the ballet and flew home early this morning. I really love exploring Washington, DC, even the buildings make me so emotional thinking about the history of our country.
Your vibe attracts your tribe. I can’t tell you how thankful I am for every work event that I get to go to. Undoubtedly I am left feeling inspired and energized but the thing I love the most will always be the connections I make with women I would have never met otherwise. I am leaving today with new friends and new ideas! #mytribe
The typical Nigerian Girl is raised with lots of values instilled in her and so much expectations on the right path to take and the kind of life she should be living. That being said, a lot of pressure has been mounted on her and these pressures ranges from societal pressure of living a perfect life that is accepted by members of the society to the cultural pressure of being groomed in the ways of our fore-mothers imbibing the culture and tradition of our women of old and also family pressure on being a daughter and a sister of value. In most cases, these high expectations ends up mounting undue pressure on the female child without trying to know the girl child beneath the facade. This page is born out of the love for the girl child and for the purpose of sharing experiences of whatever scars we might be facing as women and also embarking on a growth mission as women to groom the present day Nigerian woman to understand that she is more than just a pretty face but a woman with a lot of potentials to unleash her country and the world at large. Let's get to meet the girl within. Let's talk girl matters #thenigeriangirlstory#womensupportingwomen#growthprocess#perfectlyflawed
The Storm is The Sign- Have Faith and Keep Going ✨🌊☔️🙏🏻💎💖 . Are you being shown more demonstration of a storm rather than the delivery of what you want? Keep going! Realize that this is a really GOOD sign! . Know that the closer you get to the light, the bigger the shadow becomes. How exciting is this? You must have TRUST, FAITH and the burning desire to follow the path of your dreams. Then keep going. Pay attention to the twigs, flowers, and wood floating by you and showing you the way. . Columbus never gave up- He had a dream/goal and a burning desire and refused to give up because of the storms he was encountering. . 3 days...on the morning of the third day...him and his crew began to see the other side of the storm...the delivery. . There is such power and magic in the number 3...your signs are everywhere- be awake and aware of the signs of "land." You are closer than you realize. . Keep going . "Toward the end of the long voyage, the crew became increasingly restless. So much so that the captains of the Pinta and Niña met with Columbus to discuss turning back before they had a mutiny on their hands. Columbus bargained with them and knew that he could be facing the plank if his "hunch" didn't pan out. He was able to get them to agree to press on for just THREE more days. . After the meeting, Columbus stood in his faith convinced without wavering that land was near and pressed on. That first night the three ships covered more distance than any other day during the entire journey. This caused concern for the crew. . Why were they suddenly moving so quickly? . The next day, the excitement began to spread amongst the crew. Sure signs of land could be found in the water: twigs, flowers, and wood that had been carved were spotted floating past them." . Keep going... . Your miracles and manifestation are closer than you think. . . #encouragement#consciousness#lightworker#strengthofawoman#keepgoing#yougotthis#faith#faithquotes
