I’m still sweating and I finished like 15 mins ago. Who had the crazy idea to run in the 88 degree heat. This girl 🤦🏽♀️. I felt good in the beginning but once I got to the turn around point I took a 6 min water break in the shade. I don’t play around. I wanted my heart rate to go down before I took off again and it was worth it. I know this will pay off in the end running in the heat, at least I hope so 😂. And today marks day 31 of #rwrunstreak
Happy Summer☀️! Pic from yesterdays 5 mile run, no run today just a strength day at the gym that was basically all booty🍑 related, which was perfect for my needs! 😎No training plan at the moment still, just enjoying the love for fitness at the moment! I do have the 4th of July @tacomacitymarathon 5k coming up but that’s it! . . Sooooo.......I’ll catch up up!! ☺️At the moment I’m feeling great but have been focusing on working out the kinks aka built up tightness in my calves and well my whole left side chain and parts of right with some cupping sessions(so I basically look like i got beat up from behind🙈, even my UPS driver asks me what happened😂) and lots of lacrosse ball work. Not in pain on the daily just getting to the bottom of my spring Achilles injury. One of the first places I needed to start was strength training😬 and lots more of it focusing on glute gains and retraining them to fire when running. Turns out my calves are what have been doing alllll or most of the work propelling me forward over probably the past year if not more which caused my out of nowhere Achilles injury. So for the foreseeable future I’ll be just enjoying whatever mileage I can!😀
It’s #nationaltriathlonweek and I haven’t participated all week, but today is run day, so I gotta show it some love. ❤️🏃♀️✨ • Running has given me so many things, including confidence, friends, and (of course) shiny medals. 😂 Running keeps me sane and I’m so glad I decided in 2015 that I wanted to run a half marathon. I thought it was going to be one and done, but now I’m on track to hit 50 half marathons next year!! 😁 • I am grateful that the triathlon ends in the run - I know no matter what I can get through a run. And just look at the smile on my face in these photos - clearly I love running!! • Photo 1: WDW Marathon 2019, mile 25.5 Photo 2: Treasure Coast Half Marathon 2019, mile 12.7 Photo 3: Akron Half Marathon 2018, mile 🤷♀️ • Each of these races was special to me for different reasons. ✨ Happy run day! • #runnergirl#whatsyourfinishline#triweek
6 easy miles today! I made sure to keep it nice and easy because I did a workout yesterday and have another one tomorrow. I usually would do an upper body workout on a day like today, but my arms are a bit sore from my workout on Monday, and my neck hurts a little bit from sleep weirdly, so I just did core.
All about the good vibes ☀️ I'm often guilty of training in every session to be better, work harder, get stronger. This morning @tallyrye hosted a workout with the main focus to bring good vibes. @benq_europe have just launched their GV1 portable projector and you can bag one yourself too. @benq_europe are offering you the chance to win one over on their page. I'm so excited to test mine out this weekend. It was lovely to meet this beaut @vickyfleetwood_ and also @gabbydawnallen @mageesy @besmartgetfit and @curvyliving today 💛 Thanks again @tallyrye @benq_europe #goodvibes1 Press Event and gifted GV1
Hope you’re having a fabulous HUMP DAY 🐪 . My hump day includes glute, hip, and quad strengthening. Plus, some upper body and yoga thrown in too. . I’m a really big fan of resistance bands. I love that I can take them anywhere to do a workout. They’re also a lot tougher than they look. 👊🏼 Here’s to awesome, creative workouts! #limmgroup#workoutmotivation
Wow! This run was so freaking FUN! And exactly what I needed!! . I woke up with a sniffly nose and a dry, sore throat, and my body feeling trashed. I though OH HELL NO, NOT ON RACE WEEK WTF. I pretty much never get sick, so it's just my luck that I'd catch a cold right now. I'm hydrating, resting, and really focusing on taking care of my body so that I can run on Sunday. . Thanks to this cold, and a super chaotic week for Kyle and I, I've decided not to run the 3 race challenge. Instead I'm just going to focus on the half marathon on Sunday and give it all I've got on fresh legs! . As soon as I got inside from this run, thunder started roaring, so I think it's safe to say I have impeccable timing 😂🙌 . This caption was all over the place, I apologize. Haha drop your favorite cold remedies in the comments so I can try them out! 💕💕💕
For the second time this spring I found myself mid-race watching my A goal slip away. I felt good through the 10k mark working with another woman from Calgary, but somewhere after mile 8 it started to feel tough. She pulled away from me on a hill and I went through a difficult mile mentally and slowed a bit. — - At km 18 there was a bridge climb. I literally felt like I was crawling up it but as I crested it I did a physical check in asking my body what I had left to give. I realized I still had something left in the tank and it was now or never, so I forged on picking it back up to goal pace or slightly faster. Mile 13 was a 6 min mile on the nose, then as I pushed uphill to the finish I could see the clock ticking and knew I needed to sprint to get under 1:21, so that’s what I did. 5:30/mile pace uphill to the finish line squeaking in at 1:20:57. - - I’ve beat myself up a bit this week for those slower mid-race miles but in the end I think it was a well executed race. I didn’t reach my goal but I have gone from a 1:22:38 to a 1:20:57 PR in two months so I’m proud. I honestly never dreamed until very recently of a 1:20 half marathon. But that 1:19 is happening sometime. Mark. My.
