Do you know there is a science behind weight training? If you haven’t done courses, studied or read up about how to use periodisation (planning workouts over the course of a selected time period), how do you expect to get the fast and efficient results you desire? - - As a trainer I see so many women (and men) get nowhere with progression or results. Day in day out they are in the gym but their bodies don’t change a bit. I see their generic App workouts flashing on their phone as they follow them in a desperate attempt to change their body at minimum cost. The way I see it is that time is a cost. If you are spending endless hours in the gym getting no results, how are you saving money by buying a cheap App for your fitness goals? You aren’t. The generic workouts are generic! They are not tailored and personalised for you. There are so many factors to consider when writing the right program. Factors that generic fitness app designers don’t consider. And guess what? They probably aren’t even fitness professionals writing the programs!! They just want your money. They don’t care about your progress. They just hope that the 1 in a million person the App works for is going to work the same for everyone and let’s face it, it’s not going to work. Well not for very long. It’s a quick fix and does not solve the problem-You progressing! - - Most fitness app purchases keep people motivated and excited about training for 4-6 weeks. My Fitness Evolution builds programs for years of progression and excitement. You are constantly supported and your training and progress is constantly monitored. We know when a new program is due because of the way we track your training. We receive your feedback and requests, we keep you on track and boom, positive results are an ongoing occurrence. Getting the body you want is not rocket science. But it is science. You leave that with us. - - - - - - - #myfitnessevo#justdoit#noexcuses#personaltrainers#healthandfitness

~m e r m a i d~ . Have you ever finished work, put the key in the door and showered off your day? Taken a long soak in the bathtub before bed? Dived in the ocean to wash off a break-up or breakdown? Witnessed the pouring of holy water during a Baptism? . Water is so incredibly powerful in all its ways. In the first hour, on the first day of @balispiritfest , I experienced a form of water therapy and water dance that has stolen my heart and attention ever since. . To give your breath away takes trust, to have it handed back takes belief and as this beautiful soul said, ‘are you prepared to die, are you prepared to come back up as a different self?’ . Every bit of me said yes. . @oceanowataflow , you were put on this earth to nurture and to heal – and I haven’t really left Bali since. Carry your message to all the mermaids. May our oceans cross again one day. . #bali#balispiritfestival#wataflow#bondi#bondibeach#watertherapy#mermaid#healing#waterdance#balihealing#writer#contentcreator#womenshealth#womensmentalhealth#thehappyv#oceans

In Traditional Chinese Medicine, it is believed that cold and stagnation in the pelvic area negatively affects a woman’s health and may result in gynecological conditions such as menstrual pain, fibroids, endometriosis, and unexplained infertility. Pelvic Steam/Smoke therapy is used to clear cold and stagnation from the body, thus increasing circulation and oxygen, opening up blood vessels, and relaxing pelvic floor muscles. Additional benefits are dependent on the type of herbs used during the therapy.. . Kris is the resident acupuncturist at Steamy Chick, the largest distributor of vaginal steam supplies in the US. In this class she will reveal how this practice is truly an ancient and universal practice. We will take a short tour through history where she will share references of this therapy all throughout the world. She'll also cover what the benefits are, some cautions and contraindications and resources to learn more. Come with all your questions.. . $15 prepay Venmo @Kristin-Gonzalez-10 $20 at the door . 🌍HISTAMINE- 👩🏻💻Now my CSci application is sent off, and my lovely boys GCSE revision feels more stable, the next job for me is trying to get my MSc dissertation published- 👩🏻💻It is entitled ‘Experiences of Living with Histamine Intolerance’. The idea came from myself as living with it and ALOT of hard work gaining a medical diagnosis, and was also inspired by the huge histamine intolerance community that struggle with recognition and support- 🌍Sharing my journey along the way to publication will allow me to keep motivated (I hope!), keep me focused and get the valuable information I collected out there to everyone in a meaningful and useful way to contribute to the academic literature- 🔆But importantly too, to ‘be part of the conversation’ to raise awareness of histamine intolerance- - ⚠️Firstly, if anyone is concerned about their health, it is important to seek medical advice to exclude allergy and/or disorders of mast cell function. That is very important- - 👫After allergy and mast cell disorders have been excluded, there are still many people who know they have histamine symptoms. Some receive medical care and treatment for their symptoms, and for others, information can be easy to find of others experiences for how they have managed, what they eat and support from other sufferers- ❓But what happens if we can’t explain it is histamine we are affected by and we cannot make enough sense of our symptoms to explain them to our medical practitioners? What do we do then? We must seek medical advice but how do we explain what is going on? - 💯I think everyone needs to be more aware of histamine intolerance symptoms. By doing that we can help ourselves recognise what we may be experiencing and, if we don’t have any symptoms ourselves, we may support others and be able to help someone else seek medical and health care that may be meaningful to them- - 🗣We need to carry on raising awareness by everyone who

We ladies, we are famous for self-abandoning. We do it all the time. Think back to your first job or perhaps even your job now? How focused you are on completing the job, on proving yourself, on making sure it’s all done perfect - that you forget to eat, drink water, or go to the toilet when your body first said ‘I need to go’. I have some patients say to me, I barely have time to drink water. I mean, just think about that for a moment. The most important human need. We forget about self when we are serving everyone else. Caught in the identity crisis of "I need to perform, be my best. Did my body forget to tell me 'I am thirsty!'" Truth is, we forget to listen. Then, a few years on, this applies to so many more things. We don’t take the time to eat properly, to plan good meals. To spend time feeding our soul. And I get it. I have four kids and my day is full. But you know the drill, the oxygen mask must go on the mother first. So what can you do to serve yourself first? How can you make you a priority? Can you join a dance class? Or ask your family to serve you a cup of tea? I know, it will take practice to be the one receiving. But if you don’t practice receiving, how will you feel like a queen? Why don’t you try giving yourself a gorgeous bubble bath today? I promise you, your whole perspective about life will change. You will move out of struggle and into pleasure. That will ignite oxytocin, serotonin, dopamine - all the feel-good hormones. Part of my Hormone Harmony course is tailored to retrain you to dive deep into feeding yourself so that you pump your body with all the feel-good hormones. Check out bio for details. "Rape tends to be understood and even prosecuted - if there is no weapon involved, and no additional physical assault - as if it is 'just' forced sex rather than a highly violent act resulting in potentially lasting physical damage. But new science shows that 'mere' fear and 'mere' violation, when imposed on a victim through a 'nonviolent' sex assault, can imprint and harm the female brain and body in measurable, long-lasting ways." Naomi Wolf is speaking about the dysregulating effect of sexual trauma on the delicate physical and psychological balance that underpins the female body's physical mechanism for getting turned on. This dysregulation of the sympathetic nervous system that occurs from such trauma leads to the vagina's physical inability (or impaired ability) to engorge with blood in the natural way it would during the process of arousal. The vagina's functionality is actually damaged through rape and sexual trauma and the system that, in a body with a penis, would allow an erection to be achieved is affected negatively. Engorgement of erectile tissue in the vagina is essential to arousal and sexual pleasure (did you know that we have as much erectile tissue as a penis, all within the vagina?!), so on top of the psychological damage that the trauma inflicts there is also a physiological consequence that makes it harder for a woman's body to respond in the way it's designed to when it comes to intimacy, arousal and orgasm. "Understood in this way, rape and sexual assault, with their attendant trauma, should be understood not just as a form of forced sex; they should also be understood as a form of injury to the brain and body, and even as a variant of castration." - Naomi Wolf. If you have experienced this sort of trauma and are seeking more information or support, feel free to get in touch for some resources or come and have a Yoni Mapping Therapy session with me to work through it together. Breaky 🍳 scrambled eggs, herby grilled tomatoes and sauted greens with lemon and garlic 🥬🍅🥚🍋☘️ . Knowledge is knowing a tomato is a fruit . Wisdom is knowing not to use it in a fruit salad . Philosophy is wondering if that means ketchup is a smoothie
🌿Gynostemma gives the gift of increased strength, endurance and vigour when the stressors of the modern world has got us feeling flat and fatigued. You’re sure to get a kick out of this one with her close relation to the popular stimulating herb – ginseng! . 🌿Her actions stretch beyond relieving only mental and emotional hardship but also help to protect and repair the physical body when it too is placed under stress such as being overwhelmed by toxins accumulated from our diet and environments. . 🌿Gynostemma helps to control inflammation caused by this toxic material that causes damage to our tissues and circulatory system as they move through the body. . 🌿She particularly enjoys spending time in the respiratory system making her medicinal actions even more potent here.
This has got to be one of my favourites. Between the clusters of bright purple flowers resembling mini wisterias and it's small, round, orange fruit - this Duranta is sure to catch your eye. . She may be beautiful, but she can also be deadly! While she has been studied for her ability to fight microbial infections and reduce oxidative stress, I was a bit disappointed to find out that the fruits from this tree can also be deadly so keep kids and pets away! . Proven to be an effective insect repellent - probably safest to just enjoy her beauty and enjoy not being attacked by mossies while you do it 🤗 . Or you could head over to the Philippines where their herbalists know how to work with her properly :P .
Cleansing the spaces you spend time in is just as important as cleansing your own energy field. Humans, animals and objects all leave energetic imprints behind and without occasional cleansing, can also leave spaces feeling dense and stagnant rather than light and free flowing. Just as sometimes we need uplifting when we become weighed down by the stressors of life – so too do our homes and offices. What type of energy are you bringing home with you from your workplace? Are you surrounded by people who “lift you up” or “drag you down” and when was the last time you shifted things around at home to freshen things up?
