Gorging on Halibut! This bald eagle is making full use of the treasures that the low tide brings. Eagles are deadly hunters, with tremendous vision and talons that locks like a ratchet. But, why waste energy when you can scavenge on a perfectly rotten fish carcass? #baldeagle#nature#wildlife#eagle
While walking dogs, saw a bunch of feathers on the ground. Looked up and guess what was watching me? Looks like he was having a blue jay for breakfast. I’ll know for sure after he drops the carcass and my dogs try to eat it on our next walk. 😂 #wildlife#hawk

It was a off beat bachelors for one of our good friends Nilesh that we recently had. Today on the occasion of his Birthday, I thought it was rightful to post this today. This was a fun trip oraganised on 31st and a real stress buster for me. The destination was Ratnagiri and we had some amazing camping experience on a small hillock overseeing the beach followed by Barbecue and Campfire. It was like a dream. Visiting the local fish market the next day was a joyride followed by a Dolphin ride which we all enjoyed thoroughly. Indulging in some sports, we played Beach Cricket and Beach Football which was a fun filled activity. Concluding session was treated to some delicious Ukadiche Modak - local sweet dish of Konkan. All and all it was a wonderful trip and may god fulfill all your wishes and happy new life ahead with your partner. Happy Birthday Once Again Nilesh!! The Alpine Chough (Pyrrhocorax graculus) thrives in an environment where few birds would even dare spend a few days. Found only over 2000 m, flocks of this kind of bird gracefully soar over mountain peaks and valleys in order to obtain their meal. They won't refuse anything they find, as they follow a quite omnivorous diet. This and its cunning intelligence, which is always found in the Corvidae family, allow the Alpine Chough to survive in very harsh environments. When searching for food, an individual will stand on an elevated perch while the others are feeding. If something wrong occurs, this individual emits a warning signal and the whole flock flees at once. In winter, when food is scarce and everything is cloaked in snow, these birds wander around ski resorts to feed on anything that is thrown away, as these places provide them with a constant and reliable food source. Also, this Chough can only be misidentificated for its close relative, the Red-billed Chough. They are fairly exact in every sense except for the shape and colour of their beak and their height distribution. Do you like what you see? A sealion popping up for air in the Strait of Georgia. I've never seen a sealion in its natural habitat before. I was also surprised at how big they are. Seeing them in photos doesn't do much justice. At one point they all started breaching and I thought they were orcas from a distance. From what I've heard, they are very playful beings. It was fun to watch them enjoying the afternoon feeding and playing in their ocean. I think about the sealions that are stuck in marine parks and zoos, and I hope that one day they can do the same.
