So come shop for a great cause + some great deals 🙌 Their mission at The Glass Slipper is to empower and equip at-risk girls for life. “We believe every girl has potential and we know every girl has dreams for her life. Our goal is to restore hope that their dreams are possible and help them acquire the necessary skills and tools to achieve them. “ - @glassslippersacramento
Found this photo from a Million years ago last night. . Singing the beauty of the products I have been buying from Artisans since 1997. . Although everyone of these items are long gone to new owners, you can purchase similar online today as I travel directly supporting Artisans this week, month & every day. . As you know I do not mass-produce, I select individual items from Women and Men whom make one of a kind pieces all over Latin America. . Some call it #slowfashion I just call it living my dream, one day at a time, without the frills, close to my makers and their families. . Thank you for supporting Las Niñas Textiles, I really really appreciate it💗🙌🏼💗
Style with nothing to hide. Our online marketplace ensures you can by from brands that are committed to 100% transparent production processes. ⠀ ⠀ @jungle_folk was born during a trip through Colombia, inspired by beautiful landscapes and the people's knowhow of ancient techniques. In 2013, designer Pauline Treis started to develop the brand in Medellin, with a community of urban and rural artisans - predominantly women - enabling their sustainable development, improving their skills and helping them to support their families. In working with artisans directly Jungle Folk are seeing long lasting change by investing in people and creating social change through business, not aid.
I don't often show pictures of my packing because I'm frantically running out the door at 5 to get to the post office in time for the 5.05 pick up but today, here you go. • My packaging is all paper based, recycled or biodegradable! (Well other than some sellotape on my cardboard parcels but I'm working on that) • I make small sustainable changes, one at a time. This thank you stamp by @thedelightfullychaotico is another step forwards in removing another sticker from my packaging. It also fuels my stamp addiction, so there's that too. • #sustainability#plasticfreeliving
BUYING CHEAP COMES TO A HIGH COST. 👕🚨💸 In the throw-away society that we live in nowadays, Fast Fashion has a tremendous impact on our planet, abuses and exploits the Human Rights of the garment workers who make all of those super-cheap ‘trendy’ clothes. And most of the times, those clothes won’t even last much longer in your wardrobe because of their shitty quality or because you’ll have already worn those clothes once on your instagram feed. 🤦🏻♀️ 💰 A few years ago, I used to love to go to all of those big fashion retailers stores and buy many clothes for a little amount of money. For what purpose though? For feeling prettier, while the person who made that cheap shirt lives in poverty, being paid less than 1$ a day? As Lucy Siegle (@lucysiegle) says, “Fast Fashion isn’t free. Someone, somewhere is paying.” We are so disconnected from the reality of the products we buy. Today, we buy sooo many more clothes than what our grandparents used to. Do we need as many? 💭 The truth is, if you are still buying #fastfashion for all of those ‘steal’ prices at such insane and frenetic rhythm, you might be spending much more money than what you think. 📷 @badgalriri 💵💸🌌 • • • #groupedefemmes#stopfastfashion#humanrights#awake#slowfashionmovement#whomadeyourclothes#fashionrevolution#fashrev#ethicalfashion#fashionindustry#fashionmemes#fastfashionsucks#ethicalfashionblogger#memes#money#garmentworkers#quitfastfashion#fairfashion#fairwages#slowfashionmeme

Day twenty three of #marchmeetthemaker is ‘top tip or advice’. One thing I’ve learnt is that if you love what you do, be prepared for it to slightly take over...well everything! I fall asleep googling elastic for waistbands, get sudden inspiration for a new design in the shower & bore everyone senseless making them repeatedly try on various new pieces until I’m completely satisfied with them. Sometimes the balance is wrong & admitting that & turning off my sewing machine is hard but finding the right balance has to be rule number one...& if anyone figures out how to do that then please let me know!!
Oh, this beautiful linen combo has just stolen our hearts!😍 Worn by the lovely @animal.babe, our Linen Tie-Back Top (Off-White) and Linen Shorts (Oatmeal) is sooo cool and comfortable to wear. Wear it with some rattan side bag and you're summer ready.☀️ #taptoshop . . . 🌱 WHY IT’S ETHICAL & SUSTAINABLE? ✔️Sun Days (@sundaysdesigns) are working towards a made-to-order model to ensure no excess textile waste or emissions occur as a result of their production. ✔️PETA-approved, vegan brand.
