It’s all in the details 👀 As these normally only get handed down within the family, we were lucky enough to get our hands on a beautiful vintage 1940’s welsh blanket from a lovely local supplier. It’s now pride of place on a super king bed in one of our superior rooms.
If this cold, wet weather gets you down, it could be time to treat yourself to a cwtchy Welsh blanket! These Melin Tregwynt blankets are made from Lambswool which is luxuriously soft and guaranteed to keep you warm. www.valleymill.co.uk/welsh-wool/
My woollen blanket of choice for this snowy evening (also Mr John's birthday) is a vintage number bought from @geranium56 at @thegreendoornarberth last year. I grew up 7 miles away (12 by road) from Meirion Mill. As a child, I used to go on the lorry with Dad to the @britishwool depot nearby (and runs to the Ruthin depot); picked up wool sheets from farms in the area and further North- Talyllyn, Bala, etc. It was AMAZING when you got a cooked breakfast/roast dinner at the farms (or if not, definitely tea and cake/biscuits). The wool sheets would be manhandled onto the lorry, these were pre health and safety gone mad days of course. He was made redundant in 2012 (same year I moved South), things had changed a lot in the BWMB, and it was the end of an era. Those were the days that begun my total obssesion with wool and it's relationship to the landscape of Wales, and it's people. #meirionmill#welshblanket#woollenblanket#carthen#twill#wool#welshwool#gwlan#gwlân#gwlancymreig#gwlâncymreig
More cushions- love the diddy cushions at the front. 12’’ (30cm) square, & ideal as little lumbar or head supports. I have one myself, & make good use of it at the end of my #yoga practice & am lying down on the mat , the cushion is just enough to support the head & neck. The cushions are all heading to my Etsy shop. #sewing#cushions#etsylove#wiliammorris#welshblanket#handmade
