#repostsave @robinverbena with @repostsaveapp ・・・ "The LORD bless you and keep you; the LORD make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace." - Numbers 6:24:26 _ Let this prayer of blessing from God's word speak to you of His incomprehensible yet amazingly personal love for you. Let this prayer bless you with a quiet and peaceful awareness of His presence. a decent cup of flat white ; it’s fathers’ day and i’m reminded of God, my Father, my Abba. He loves me so much that He did not withhold His only begotten Son to save me, a wretched sinner. the God of the universe could well have done something to spare Jesus. He knew exactly what His Son would go through. He didn’t need to sacrifice His Son to rescue me. but God withheld His hand. God did not spare His own beloved Son. He turned His back on Jesus so that the punishment that i deserve would not fall on me. God has showed me His unparalleled love in extending mercy and grace to me. He made a tough choice so that He could be intimate with me. and because of this, i can now declare that i’m a beloved child of the most high God, my Abba.
Cheers to six years, my husband til heaven. I love you and am so thankful we get to do this life together. It seems like only yesterday we stood before our family and friends and the Lord and pledged these words: I, Bryan, choose you, Ashley, my best friend, to be my wife I gladly offer my whole life to you; I will be faithful to you (Hebrews 13:4) Honor, serve and treasure you as a coheir to the grace of life (1 Peter 3:7) I will protect you and forever delight in your beauty (Proverbs 5:15-19) I will love you as Christ loves the church and give up my life for you (Ephesians 5:25) I will speak well of you and live with you in an understanding way (Proverbs 31:28, 1 Peter 3:7) I will be your spiritual leader and bring up our children in the training and instruction of the Lord (Eph. 6:4) I will love you above all others for the rest of my life. I will keep Jesus at the center of our marriage and home. Let my love for you be a reflection of God’s love. I, Ashley, choose you, Bryan, my best friend, to be my husband I gladly offer my whole life to you; I will be faithful to you (Hebrews 13:4) Honor, serve and respect you, trusting you to do what is best for our family I promise to love you and submit to your leadership as to the Lord (Ephesians 5:22) I promise to let no corrupt talk come out of my mouth, but only what is good for building up, that it may give grace to you (Ephesians 4:29) I will love you above all others and promise to do good to you all the days of my life. (Proverbs 31:12) I will pursue the work of Christ by helping you and teaching kindness and truth to our children. (Ephesians 2:10, Proverbs 31:26) Let my love for you be a reflection of God’s love.
for most of my life, I struggled majorly with insecurities. I walked the line between feeling like I wasn’t enough or that I was too much, and I wasn’t secure in how God made me. I was intimidated by other girls, especially if they were confident, and considered myself to not at all be a “girl’s girl”. // but a few years ago, God stepped in and began chipping away at the fears+insecurities and slowly but surely, a heart for championing women emerged. beauty for ashes. I felt like a totally different person, but God has shown me-especially through photography+youth ministry-that this is a major part of my role here, so I’m working daily on settling into this new wildfire heart of mine. the world needs what God has placed within you—what do you need to work at for the sake of others?
Speak easy. Choose your words carefully. Give life, or give death. There’s great power in the words you speak ⚡️
My sweet aunt sent this to me a few days ago and it has resonated with me since. I just love it. The influence of a mother upon the lives of her children cannot be measured. They know and absorb her example and attitudes when it comes to questions of honesty, temperance, kindness, and industry. -Billy Graham "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs” (1 Corinthians 13:4-6 NIV). Love is patient even when explaining the same thing for the hundredth time. Love is kind when family members are sick and can’t care for themselves. Love doesn’t want what others have or promote itself, and it teaches children to do the same. Your mother’s love seeks to bring honor, not dishonor to your children and spouse. You bite your tongue when you know your temper is short and forgive an unlimited number of times. 💕🌻🌸
“Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?” Romans 2:4. . Initial repentance is necessary for salvation. But on-going repentance is the key to spiritual maturity, victorious living, and times of refreshing. When we come to God initially, we experience a supernatural re-birth. We are spiritual babies, requiring God’s constant nurturing! He (often through His people) provides all we need – the milk of His Word, cleaning up after our messes, the security of His nearness, protection from the storms of life. But as we grow, we learn to walk, talk, feed ourselves, etc. Then comes potty training! Learning to repent is much like potty training. We learn how to cooperate with God to clean up our messes, except that mess is sin. Walking in repentance is the process of getting rid of the sin that needs to be eliminated from our lives. Potty training is the natural equivalent to the spiritual process of learning how to repent. Repentance is equivalent to healthy elimination, i.e. getting rid of our waste, also known as sin. . For the full blog on this crazy comparison of repentance to potty training, see link in bio. . . . . #wellwateredwomen #seekhimfirst #faithbloggers #knowingyourgod #believers #shespeakstruth #shereadstruth #blessingsonblessings #amentothat #majesty #mindofchrist #rootedinfaith #trusthim #praisehim #jesus #hopewriters #hopewriterlife #christianposts #lovejesus #seekhim #christianvlogger #truthtotable
To be honest, I struggle with spending time with God every day. Abiding isn’t always easy. I allow tiredness to get in the way. I allow even laziness to get in the way. Sometimes, I just don’t want to do it even though I have time... so I don’t. 🌻 Interestingly enough, I challenged myself to spend time with the Lord first thing this morning right after waking up. Guess what my devotional was about? Abiding. I was reminded that in order to grow spiritually, I need to be receiving daily nourishment by abiding in Him, the true vine. I am to abide in Him as He abides in me. I can’t continue walking in the Spirit if I’m not connected to the vine. It was some good stuff, y’all. 🌻 I know I’m not perfect, but I’m working on establishing a deeper relationship with the Lord. I’m thankful that there is grace for me to do so, even when I mess up. 🌻 What is something you were reminded of today?
Faithful is who He is 🙌🏼

Knowledge is power ESPECIALLY when it comes to your health. 💪🏻 Recently diagnosed with #celiacdisease 😣means lots of research for me. I want to fully understand it since it’s very misunderstood by most, even doctors! It’s not fun. It’s not how I wanted to spend a Saturday BUT, it’s empowering to know EXACTLY what I’m dealing with and how to avoid gluten at all costs now. This is a life long illness and instead of sinking into a fit of depression about all the foods I’ll miss, I’m ➡️choosing⬅️ to be thankful I can control it with food! LET FOOD BE THY MEDICINE! 🙌🏻(This book is a great resource so far by the way!)
“The world is telling you to use your single years solely for yourself—to discover, explore, adventure, and escape. ⠀ ⠀ While I don’t disagree that you can and should discover yourself in a healthy way, I want to propose to you that the most important thing your singleness can offer you is not to “find yourself.” The most important thing your singleness offers is time. Specifically, time to develop a close and intimate relationship with God. ⠀ ⠀ This season of singleness should be used for the purpose of growing in your love for and relationship with Jesus. Your primary goal and focus in life, but especially in singleness, should be to know God more, to discover his purpose for you, and to fall so in love with him that a love for any other person could never even compare to your love for God.”⠀ ⠀ I wrote a blog post a while ago on 5 things I would tell my single 20-year-old self. Check out the link in my story to read the full post & let me know in the comments if you enjoyed it/if you want more posts on this topic!
It's hard for me to give God control of the parts of life I care about. In my ignorant very human way I want to pick my future, plan my career advances, design each season of life to fit my current needs. I would never have imagined I'd be where I'm at in life, but man would I have missed out if I would have had it my way. ⁣ .
I dealt heavily with judging others, and to be honest it has been the greatest challenge to overcome. I don’t want to say I love my brothers and sisters with my mouth but internally I am judging you. It’s my job to push you to Christ and love you and allow God to transform you while I pour accountability, Godly wisdom into your life. - For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you { Matthew 7:2}
SO PUMPED! Release weekend is here! 🙌🏻 Within this first year of business I’ve tried a few different design styles for the journals and I think I FINALLY nailed it! I’ve combined the scripture journal, prayer journal, and the church notes journal into one single, lay flat, hardcover matte style journal which focuses on taking notes during a church message (online or bottom planted in a seat) or even your during your favorite Christian podcast! You could even bring it along to your small group bible study sessions to jot down notes! . I have provided you with a few “prayer and praise” pages where you can record your own prayers + prayer requests that you receive from others. Turn the page and you’ll find the two page church notes spread which allows you to take notes, jot down your take away, and write down scripture you want to dive into throughout the week that was discussed in the message! Turn the page once more and you’ll find a two page spread call “scripture to study” - this is where you’ll find the scripture journal pages merged into this all inclusive journal. You can now take the Bible verses from the message and dive deeper into them, study them, and take notes, or you can simply study and journal any scripture it’s your call! Lastly, you’ll find many blank lines pages for you to simply take notes whether its writing lyrics to a new song you want to produce, or simply jotting down next week’s meal plan....the space is yours. 🥰 . My passion is to lead others to seek God wholeheartedly and be rooted in His word. I’ve been through trials, and I’m currently going through them now. Life as a Christian as many of you know isn’t a walk in the park. Life as a Christian is just the same as those who have not seen His light...except, we KNOW deep within our heart that God is who He says He is, and He loves us so much to have sent Jesus to our world to show us HOW to live, and to sacrifice His life upon that cross. Forever
Saturdays are for adventuring 🌲🐾 Papabear suggested a rock hunt and hike. We were more than game. This man, who is the opposite of me in almost all the ways, brings out the best in me and in our family. He is so patient with me. I was the grumpiest grumbler about moving up North. The culture was unlike anything I’d experienced and the weather.. oh my 🥶 This Southern Belle has gone through a long and extensive attitude check over the last 9 years. It was painful to say the least but I’m glad to be here now. That move, this place, our family- God has used it all. How humbled I have been by the people who took us in as their own, who loved us along the way and continue to invite us in. How awestruck to be planted in a place where it didn’t seem like anything could grow and yet here have been the most fruitful years of my life. How blindsided to realize that the longest, hardest winter produce gratitude for the everyday blessings that were once taken for granted. Thank you Father for this amazingly goofy, intuitive, kind, and nature loving man. Thank you for sunshine and waterfalls and spring. Thank you for not answering prayer after prayer but instead shepherding me towards something beyond what I could imagine or ask for. Thank you for this little life of mine. Thank you for loving me enough to teach me hard things.
Well I guess today was our first official day of summer break.☀️ Asher had his last baseball game, he got MVP & was so pumped. We hit up Shake shack for a late lunch & then walked around town center for an hour (aka A & A ran around the fountain & mommy walked through pottery barn) like tourists with afternoon coffee.☕️ Who are we?! Thankful to have the summer together with these sweet babes.✨
Still can’t get over how short my hair is. 🙈Cut a little too much off but I think I’m digging it. Feels amazing. If you’re ever on the fence about cutting your hair, just do it! 😉 Happy weekend, babes. #happysaturday

A significant fact is linked to the Pentecost event: from the earliest times after the descent of the Holy Spirit the apostles and their followers, converted and baptized, “devoted themselves to the breaking of bread and the prayers” (Acts 2:42). It was as if the Holy Spirit himself had directed them toward the Eucharist. ⠀ ⠀ // Pope Saint John Paul II⠀ ⠀ He’s directing us to the Eucharist. Our only job is to respond. 🙏🏽⠀ ⠀ #bissisterhood #projectblessed⠀ ⠀ photo by @acatholicconvo

Man. There's so much I want to say with this quote...a deep dive into the struggle and beauty of the last few years..the ache for those of you who are in the depth of it right now, to feel this and know it to your core.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ You are not your struggle. It may feel like it- it can feel all consuming and unbearable to break free from, but it is not who you are. This piece of you does not define or determine the whole of you…who you are presently, what you are capable of, and who you will be. You are a light, fighter, lover, giver, beauty, and human (gorgeous one at that).⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Fear and anxiety still show up in my life more than I would like to admit and I am still on the journey of release and empowerment. It's been an upward climb for me- I have been in the darkest space and have fought my way towards light. Sometimes I still rest in the shadows but I refuse to live there anymore.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ In the midst of the heavy and deep darkness, I felt broken and ashamed that I couldn't just stop what I was doing and how I was feeling. I felt like there was something inherently wrong with me and that I had become my struggle. I believed for so long that my fear defined and destined me.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Then little by little, I am being reminded of my true identity- by family, friends, God, my counselor, lonely and reflective nights, pursuing my curiosity and what I enjoy (last year @gritandvirtue posted this quote- I just found it in my photos as a screen shot and it made a huge impact then). I no longer believe that my failure or my struggles define me or forecast who I am and will always be. There are many pieces of me and they’re all welcome here, they’re just not always needed. That doesn’t make me wrong or bad, but helps me recognize that I am whole because of all of my parts, not by
Happy Saturday, friends! . I've noticed a few new faces lately and thought it might be fun to share a little about myself and invite you to do the same. . 1. I'm multipassionate and it honestly drives me crazy. If you have any advice on how to manage 36 different dreams that would be great. . 2. I never thought my life would like this: married by 23 and working from home in a 1940s home with a 75 pound Siberian husky following me around. The picture for my life was always stilettos and blazers, high-rise apartments, at least 2 cats, and never even considering marriage until 30. Don't you just love when God reveals that His plan is so much better? . 3. I almost threw my entire life away on a guy. No, really. I almost sacrificed everything, including my relationship with Jesus and my own life, to try and make a dating relationship work even though it was destined to fail. Had I continued down that path I know I would likely not be alive right now. . . Please tell me three things about you in the comments. All about your dreams & how life has worked out so far. . And thank you so much for following along. I cannot say enough how grateful I am that you're here. . #thesweetlyco
Jesus said to His disciples, “I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now.” John 16:12 From “The Anawim Way”, today’s meditation - - We cannot fully understand the mystery of God, and we are arrogant if we demand that we should be able to! The Cathechism, quoting St. Augustine, tells us: “Even when He reveals Himself, God remains a mystery beyond words: ‘If you understood Him, it would not be God.’” (CCC 230) God reveals Himself to us as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. This revelation of His inner self is an extraordinary gift to us. He did not have to tell us who He is. He could have left us in the darkness of ignorance. Instead, He bathed us in a light brighter than our mind can comprehend. It makes no sense to grow discouraged because the sun is too bright to look at; we can and we should delight in the beauty and the warmth of the sunlight, even though we cannot stare at the sun. When someone takes us into his confidence, sharing a deep secret, we do not complain about what he has not said. Rather, we feel deeply privileged, honored that he has trusted us with personal knowledge about himself. How much greater a privilege it is to be given personal knowledge of God. He shows extraordinary trust in us, sharing with us the deepest mystery of his inner life. Our response should be gratitude, wonder and love. - - As I ponder these words, my mind boggles at what God has chosen to reveal to us. Jesus said there is so much more, but we cannot bear it all. I am reminded of a story about a woman watching a father putting things in a little boy’s basket at a supermarket. The woman asked the little boy, “Isn’t your basket too heavy for you?” And the little boy answers in confidence, “Oh no, my father knows exactly how much I can carry.” Father in heaven, thank You that You want to reveal Yourself to us. Thank You that You give us more and more of Your truth as our faith and trust in You grows.
