I love Jess’ mantra #youdonthavetoyougetto. Whenever I run, I think about the fact that the first time I ever ran a mile and felt good about it was in my 20s. Now I love to run and I’m so grateful for my health and for a body that can take me wherever I want to go. I started the day off with this mindset by listening to a @candicekumai #wabisabi podcast about making a seat for yourself at the table. Similar to how I feel about running - that you don’t know how far you can go until you do it - I periodically pause at work and think about all the strategic conversations I’m honored to be in that I never would have known to dream about growing up. I’m blessed to have found a balance of constant opportunities to grow while also loving and appreciating where I’m at right now. What’s something you do that you never would’ve thought possible? Fix your ponytail and try again... It would be great if everything was 100% perfect the first time around but that's not the way the world works. It takes consistent effort and growth. You take the ups with the downs and keep going. I am still on my journey and for those following me you may be like... Why aren't you "THERE" yet?! "There" is not one place in time. It's not one solid goal. I will never be there because it is constantly changing. My next "THERE" is to: - Lose 30 more lbs by 30 - Kill my final exam - Launch the next phase in my business - Plan my trip to Bali - Love my friends and family - Make it to volleyball playoffs -And just be happy... Did you know... 💃I competed at a State, National & International level as a gymnast between the ages of 6-12yrs. Training 20 hr p/w 💃Was placed straight into Level 9 Acrobatics as a flyer in a trio 💃Was a Junior Flame in the St George Illawarra Dragons Cheerleading Squad & went onto becoming a Senior Flame between ages of 15-22yrs. Performing at home games, NRL/ Dragons Events, Semifinals/Grand Finals, State Of Origin Series (flipped out of the timely leading blues onto field - most INCREDIBLE experience) 💃Throughout school I was heavily involved in the Dance Ensemble Groups, perfuming at Regional Festivals/School Spectacular/ Rock Eisteddfod Events & went to China to perform over there (got an electric shot, ended up in hospital, still danced with a bandage around my wrist 😂) 💃Competed Nationally in a Stunt Cheerleading Team where I was the flyer again & tumbler (yes, like Bring it On) 💃Danced in Eisteddfods for 4 years; Jazz, ballet, pointe, contemporary/modern etc After being riddled with injuries + being mentally & physically exhausted I went into teach dance, cheer, acro & dance at many different dance schools/gymnastic clubs🤸♀️ I’ve decided to share more of my journey and story with all of you because I wouldn’t be where I am today without going through all these stages in my life. I feel I transform & grow so quickly that I forgot easily what I’ve done 👀 I feel I’ve lived 100 lives already in 24 years & it blows my mind & what I’ve done. My journey just didn’t begin when I got diagnosed with Anorexia // Body Dysmporphia // Depression. Yes I think I’ve learnt the most from journeying though mental health but all of the events from childhood, teen years & young adult life led me to that point in my life. And I guess I had to hit a rock bottom for me to make big changes around my mindset, body & soul self so that I could create the life of my dreams 🌈 What are you proud of from your past? As my journey to more non toxic living continues I am baffled by all the poisons they put in our food, everyday products and not to mention injections (not going there though). ✨S e l f C a r e✨The busier we get, the more we need it! . We’ve been told that in order to succeed we have to do whatever it takes, no matter the cost. You have to give all of your time, all of your energy to your goal... or you don’t really want it. If you’re not willing to sacrifice, you’re seen as lazy and selfish. . This is the hustle mentality. And it’s the reason so many of you are exhausted, overwhelmed, and burnout. . You skip lunch and work through it because everyone else is doing it. You cancel dinner plans with friends or family because the boss said you need to work late. And you never take that vacation because “you need to be at work.” . 💣 By saying yes to everyone else, you’re saying no to yourself. . This hustle mentality is particularly prevalent for women. Not only are you expected to give everything at work to prove yourself (especially in male-dominated fields), but when you come home, you’re then expected to continue giving to your children and partner. . But if you’re giving, giving, giving all the time… eventually you’re going to have nothing left to give. . This is why self care is so essential. You can’t expect a plant that put in a dark closet - without sunlight or water - to thrive. That same goes for us humans. Without nourishment for our bodies and minds we, too, will wither. . Self care is the exactly the nourishment you need ✨ . When you prioritize time to take care of yourself, not only are you a better entrepreneur or employee, able to bring passion and vision to your projects, but you’re also a better person, better able to take care of the ones you love, because you yourself are taken care of. . So self care isn’t selfish - it’s an act of love! For you and the people around you 💜 . Going to get open and vulnerable again...Just me and the birds 🐦were crazy enough to brave the cold and windy beach this past weekend. I have never been much of a beach person but focusing on healing and mental health has driven me to try different cures and adventures. Going to the beach a lot more frequently has been a new kind of therapy for me. There is something about being around a vast and open space, near the water and sand that allows me to breathe and be calm. With that said, you should never tell a depressed person these three things. “Just take a walk.” “Just think positively.” Or “It’s just winter blues.” I continue to be surprised at intelligent people who do not take depression seriously. It’s like telling a person with the flu or cancer to just rub some dirt on it. Depression is a serious condition and one that needs to be discussed openly. This will help people to confide in their loved ones and get help. There is no shame in seeking help. My only wish is that employers would take mental health into consideration and take it as seriously as any other condition. Does it feel far away or out of reach? Have you internalized messages that experiencing joy is not for you? Is it hard to believe you deserve access to joy just like everyone else? How can you cultivate a stronger relationship to joy? What is standing in the way of feeling joy? Are you feeling ready to claim more joy for yourself? We are living in difficult political times. There is so much to grieve. The political is always personal and healing is always political. If your life been shaped by trauma, oppression, violence, and/ or pain, and if you are awake to the pain of the larger world, it can be hard to believe that we also deserve joy. Can we as a collective, and also individuals, hold both joy and despair in one hand? In this workshop we will center joy, consider the barriers to feeling it, move towards claiming more of it, as we breathe through our full bodies, welcoming a vast emotional landscape to be present. Breathwork is an active meditation that helps bring attention to the cognitive, emotional, spiritual, and somatic experiences andintelligences living in our bodies. It connects us to the outdated stories we carry while releasing blocked and stagnant energy, reconnecting us to joy, clarity, creativity, okayness, and aliveness. The practice reminds us we all, each of us, hold the power within ourselves to shift and heal parts of ourselves. It’s you and your breath; the breath is the medicine and our bodies are wise. It’s a psychedelic and transcendent experience. There’s a very good chance you will leave feeling more at ease and in love with yourself. This workshop is lovingly open to all genders. Bring your wise body (of course!), your curiosity, a pen and notebook, wear comfortable clothing and, if you would like to, bring an eye pillow or cover.

Some of my current faves (probably the weakest person but I’m trying 😅) I am in no means a fitness expert (clearly😂) but I just wanted to show u guys some of my favourite upper body exercises atm however I know this is pretty average I just want to encourage you to just go for it if you’re feeling nervous about joining a gym !!
