Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having an amazing weekend! We’ve been lucky enough to spend ours celebrating my brother’s graduation with my family 🎓 I even stopped at @wegmans last night on the way home from dinner because I miss it SO much! I found some passion fruits 🥳, so that was exciting 🥰🥰🥰 Taking 4 kids 10 and under to dinner can be difficult, but it was really great! Everyone was well behaved and had a great time. They helped pick out safe choices for allergies and made us a delicious gluten free and vegan meal ❤️❤️❤️ Today I’m sharing a photo of the most delicious oil free Maple Pecan Granola! Cacao nibs ↠ for oatmeal, smoothies and cookies, too. Cacao is high in antioxidants which absorb free radicals from pollution and other toxins in our environment (i.e. the things that case disease). It's also a great plant-based source of iron – something I'm in dire need of since I eat a mostly plant-based diet. I could go on and on about raw cacao... but I'll end with: It makes you happy!⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ 2. Turmeric ↠ for #goldenmilk, hummus, soups, scrambled eggs, stir fry and more. Has the weekend been good? How have you spent it?  Ours has been quite chilled - which is unheard of! We're usually always away somewhere.  Yesterday we went and got the rest of our holiday clothes, then chilled around the house. HONEST POST! Yesterday, I ate SO much that I caused myself to have a pretty awful IBS flare 🤦🏼‍♀️ I went for afternoon tea, had pizza (gluten free obvs), crisps & dip, chocolate and finished it off with a few gins! 🐷 I enjoyed it all and would probably eat it all again BUT I was not being mindful of the volume of food I was consuming. I was mindlessly eating in front of the TV (I loved the Eurovision 😂!) and I think this combined with alcohol was what caused the flare. . Just over a year ago I would have immediately weighed myself this morning, got upset that I’d let myself down, beat myself up about it all day and restrict what I eat today to “make up for it”. I would have called myself disgusting, a failure and a greedy piggy (the last bit is probs still true 🤷🏼‍♀️😂). But not today!!! This morning I didn’t pay much thought to it. I didn’t weigh myself because I’m not defined by the number on the scales. I got up and I exercised! Not to punish myself for my poor diet choices...I exercised because when my tummy is feeling sensitive like it is today, moving makes me feel a million times better and I deserve to feel good!!! I put on my jeans... they still fit perfectly. Now my life goes on 🙌🏻 . I am finally free from food rules and learning to listen to my body. Sometimes I still don’t always make the best decisions but so what, I’m only human! Thank you @resultswithlucy & @resultswithcecilia for helping me to let it go. I feel AMAZING! 🌟 . So this is me about 80% of the time...positive, very cheesy, a little crazy and a firm believer that things are going to work themselves out one way or another. But the other 20% of the time? I can be extremely anxious, feeling like the biggest failure out there. It’s a constant struggle to push aside the doubts (I don’t think I go a single day without questioning what the hell I’m doing with my life 🤷🏼‍♀️), and to remember how strong and resilient I can be. It takes daily affirmations to find my inner smile, and to keep grinding away at my goals. And some days I lose the internal battle and sit on the couch watching 10 hours of Netflix without even changing out of my pjs. But sometimes that’s okay too. So if you find yourself looking at all the happy photos and wondering why everyone else seems to be getting the better deal in life...just remember that they probably have their own struggles too. And what is right for one person, doesn’t have to be right for you. This is a message I tell myself all the time, and if you needed to hear it, I hope it gives you courage to embrace where you’re at right now. You do you. Always ✨

Oh my gaaaad ! Enfin je publie ! I always get a little nervous before big trips to somewhere new. It's almost like a bungee jump or paragliding or any crazy adrenaline-filled activity. My stomach does endless somersaults just before, I question everything but then I just GO for it and it's fine. And it's the best feeling in the world. "Feel the fear and do it anyway," right? Even though I'm lucky enough to have seen a lot of the world, I still get the same feeling on the day it's time to board the plane. But here we go - Vancouver, Whistler and Banff. I can't tell you how much I've wanted to do this trip and visit these places. There's just something so special about them. And that's worth being nervous for! Bring on the adventures... 🙂
