🌸 Self Care Sunday 🌸 . . I speak about self love and self care all the time because it’s something I am extremely passionate about. As a Mum, teacher and personal trainer my energy is constantly being given to others. Over this past year I have become better at recognising when my energy is low and in need of rejuvenating However instead of waiting for it to be completely depleted I now practice regular self care. . . There is no right way to do this, it is simply any act that makes you happy, makes your soul sing and makes you feel refreshed, reenergised and feeling like your cup is full. . . I LOVE long baths with essential oils and I make sure I have one every Sunday evening before the busy week begins. I also love to dance, I crank positive self love songs and bust a move with my daughter - she loves it, we laugh and giggle and it’s the best way to get those positive endorphins running. . . I didn’t start today knowing I’d be making pecan butter. Or ghee. Or an entire bag of pinto beans. Yet, here we are. 😂 This morning I knew I was going to be making a pecan pie! But after buying pinto beans for pie weights, running out of ghee for the filling, and having more than a cup of leftover pecans, my inner chef came out & turned this afternoon into a mini meal prep day. 👩🏻🍳 But about this pecan butter... When I make nut butters, I never add any extra ingredients. I just toast the nuts, toss them into a food processor, and blitz on high until creamy! Roasting nuts before making nut butters brings out its flavor helps the oils come out & makes processing them so much quicker! Give it a try! 🥜
