For years all Ive heard is.. "If you just lost some weight..." And for years all I ever said was thats some bull shit. Youre just blowing smoke up my ass so you and your "buddy" can keep living your best lives and leaving me in a perpetual state of envy and on the constant verge of a mental break down. No before and afters. Youll just have to take my word that when I left that hospital last July for thinking I was having a heart attack I was almost 280 pounds and had doctors swearing high and low that I had contracted the diabetis. (Say it in the old cowboy voice from the original comercials). Unless you have it. Well even if you do its funny. My 65 pound journey and the defeat of diabetis. No one cares. Not that anyone really knew either. No one has really unsuspectingly noticed. Why? Cuz of you and that mr perfect buddy of yours thats why. I could have cured cancer or aids and no one would have given a shit cuz I dont have a fanny pack or listen to coachella music. Hell the noble prize people would have probably called and been like.. What is with the ALL or NOTHING mentality? . I’ve been wanting to talk about the execution of weight loss and the mentality so so many of us, myself included, willingly succumb to- the notion that we either have to be ALL IN or NOTHING. That we have to make the right choices 100% of the time or 0% of the time. . I’ve found that this is the recipe for burn out and disaster. So many times I started a weight loss endeavor, and the moment I “cheated” the guidelines, I convinced myself that since I messed up- I had to wait until the following Monday to start over and, again, pursue perfection. . It goes without saying that this resulted in ZERO positive progression because perfection is overrated. The time is never perfect. Things always will come up. Cravings are a part of life. . It was January of 2018 that I had a key realization: that it’s okay to just try my best, accepting that I will cheat and mess up. But , what determines my future progress is my will to hop back on the very next meal. Not wait for Monday all over again. . So then — the next hurdle became, well, I’m a foodie and love food, how do I keep this interesting? Eating healthy is not expensive; yes, you read that right! . “Ugh, no wonder everyone is overweight, junk food is so cheap”. . Well I mean...”healthy” food is too. . So where did the myth that you need to break the bank to eat healthy come from?⬇️ . When people are referring to healthy food being expensive, it’s usually one of 3 things. . 1). Organic food: You do not need to eat organic to be healthy. And you also don’t have to shop at fancy health stores. You can find good food at literally any supermarket. . 2). Pre-packaged salads or prepared meals: Yes, of course that salad from Walmart is expensive; you are paying for convenience! If you were to buy all of the ingredients separately, and make them yourself, it would be super cheap. . 3). Supplements: A lot of people buy the fanciest protein powder, take 13 pills, and think they have to try out every new pre-workout. Here’s the thing; for most people, supplements are completely useless (for body composition). So yeah, if you’re buying protein powder that’s $64.99 it’s going to be expensive...but you don’t have to. . Here’s the funny thing about all of this. . If you ask people to name some “healthy” foods, here’s what you’ll get⬇️ . “Chicken, eggs, rice, beans, oats, fruit, and veggies”. . Well...these are all extremely cheap, can be found at the cheapest of supermarkets, and are ridiculously budget friendly when bought in bulk. . So, why is there a misconception about this? . I’m going to give you the truth: “Eating healthy is too expensive” is just another excuse for people to not change their current eating habits. . If they tell themselves that they can’t afford it, subconsciously, they’ll feel better about eating junk day after day. Because the alternative is accepting responsibility for their actions, and that’s hard. . “Healthy” food being “expensive” had never stood in the way of a person who actually wanted to lose weight, and better

I was living in a controlling unhappy, stressful relationship, which is probably why i had a super-restrictive diet that of course required exquisite control.. Its not always just the heart that breaks, the mind can be broken too . .. It took a long time but Now, I love my body the way it is, because i am happy. I have over come so many issues with trust and love in myself and others.. I love to be and feel strong, physically and mentally .. I feel fit and healthy, and that’s exactly what i will be 💕... . My point is our worth is not measured by a number on a scale! or how a single person treats you .. Love does not devalue, abandon and abuse you .. That is the magic of it finally not being tax season ☀️ this morning was a great leg day workout 🦵🏻(also I think this is my favorite emoji). I’m off today and tomorrow and I have so many appointments! I’m getting my brakes done, I have a check up appointment at the dentist this afternoon, and I’m getting my car detailed tomorrow! I didn’t want to go the gym today, my legs were sore. 2 weeks off doing next to nothing lead to some stiff muscles today. But my husband was off and we had a sitter so we went together. I also used one of the cardio machines I despise the 🚲, and got 4.5 miles in in 17 mins. I also started ramping my lifting amounts back up. It was supposed to be just for the “discount”. But once I signed up and started seeing results and how this was changing lives I decided It was time to do more.
