#flexfriday & #flashbackfriday going for the pull-ups at ~230lb bodyweight +135lbs . I’m still shooting for a pull-up that totals my old bodyweight of 420lbs one day and I’ll keep working at it. Been working on volume with pull-ups at my current weight of ~240lbs and occasionally I’ll add some weight and test the waters. . What’s a BIG goal that you have set for yourself? So many people ask me how I started. The truth? By making small changes that were practically unnoticeable!!! I made small swaps here and there, for foods that satisfied me the same! The most important thing is that YOU ENJOY the food swap. There is no use forcing yourself to eat one over the other, if you don’t genuinely enjoy it ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Here are 3 of my favourite weight-loss swaps! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. 🧀 Swapping out your usual cheddar cheese for feta cheese. This is even better if you like goats cheese ( for some reason i can’t stand the flavour!). Feta cheese contains less calories and fat than cheddar cheese and 50g serving of it contains 132 calories while a 50g serving of cheddar cheese contains 201 calories! I don’t know about you but i love both of these cheeses, and swapping feta for cheddar satisfies me as much in flavour! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 2. 🥣Swap your morning bowl of granola for stove top oats! Granola is extremely caloric dense and often not as filling! It is packed with sugar and fats and is easy to overeat! A 100g serving of granola comes in at roughly 480 calories. I find stove top oats far more filling and satisfying without any added oils/sugars. I like to top mine with some blueberries and mix in some stevia and vanilla extract. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 3. 🍫 Swap your ‘healthy’ fruit and nut bar that is often packed with sugars, for a handful of almonds and some chocolate chips. Equally as satisfying, and eating nuts and chocolate one buy one takes you longer to eat it than if it were all combined in a compact bar. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⭐️I just want to add that these are just some quick effortless swaps that can aid weight-loss if that is your

Easter weekend. Going to need to gather all of my strength to resist breaking down and going to town on take out and chocolate... glorious chocolate shaped in various styles of bunnies and eggs! Good thing about Easter is I get time to spend with my family. Bad thing about this is time with my family quite often means FOOD... LOTS AND LOTS OF FOOD... GLORIOUS FOOD... a variety of tasty food that's most certainly drenched in lots and lots of oil or some other gloriously unhealthy substance. Sigh. I just gotta remember it's time to break the cycle. Time to move passed all the traditions and the "usual". I am on this journey for a reason. I will love myself enough to stick to this choice I made... the choice to be better, the choice to live a healthier life in order to seize opportunities that arise. I always try to meal prep a meat for my weekends because weekends with my kids can get crazy. I'll have these black bean turkey burgers for lunch and dinner. I'll pair them with corn and brown rice or veggies. They are sooo good.
