#repost @lanrickbennettjr with @get_repost ・・・ With less than a week left we are finally saying good bye to our old lit. Canvassing in the old #ward30 which added 6 turning into #ward36 during the beginning of the election. Subtracted 22 midway through to get us to #ward14. I think we’ve all landed on our new marker of Toronto-Danforth but regardless what side of the Danforth you are on, happy to be feeling a lot of that #eastendlove. Blessed and thankful for that this campaign season. Make sure your voice is heard Oct 22 and Vote!#DoMORE #tovotes18#voteto

Beautiful (and hot) evening for a canvass in The Pocket! Talking to neighbours about my re-electon campaign and local issues - like Phin Park which I helped recently get renamed from parkette. Thanks for joining me tonight! #thepocket#torontodanforth#ward30#ward36
Met Tyler while out canvassing and heard a heartwarming story. He had tickets to the Taylor Swift concert and donated them to the Red Door Shelter, giving a fun outing to the teens staying there. So great to see support for @reddoorfamilyshelter in our community! #ward30#ward36#torontodanforth

Day 204 Guess where we are? 🏡 Two weeks ago today, Eadie was admitted into the children's ward for three days before her surgery. Never did I ever believe that we would be home this soon. Not even two weeks after open heart surgery, she is back to her smiling, happy and bright self. Spending two weeks apart from the girls has been so hard along with laying your 6 month old down on an operating table, signing a form to say you understand all of the risks involved. I will never underestimate the power of faith, hope and eadies strength. I will never second guess her - she has absolutely blown me away, every step of the way. Over the last few days on ward 30, eadie has had a few special visitors pop down to see her each one of them after a few smiles and a little cuddle (from ead obvs) the kind words will stay with me forever, so to those lovely people, thank you. We were also under strict orders to pop into PICU for a quick goodbye! It was so good to see some of the special people for one last time. It is always nice to hear from the professionals that im doing a good job! And I didnt cry...almost but I didnt! We as a family have been cared for so well, we will be forever grateful. The one person I haven't mentioned yet is eads surgeon. A man of very few words. The man who has performed open heart surgery on our daughter three times. I owe this man my life, he along with the numerous teams of people have given eadie the gift of life, we dont know what it will hold but for now she is far more stable than she ever has been. 1 in 100 children are born with a congenital heart defect. I consider myself lucky to be blessed with such a beautiful and brave child. So I am off to draw up meds and top up my wine glass (saving the gin for tomorrow) Natasha xx #eadiesjourney#glenfieldhospital#picu#ward30#faithoverfear#gratefulheart

#repost @lanrickbennettjr with @get_repost ・・・ Tomorrow is going to be 7 days for my campaign. 127 days until all of Toronto votes. I've got 127 days to convince a majority of some 24,000 house holds that I can be an alternative to the status quo. I had a lady that stopped me coming out of my new satellite office at @theshmooz lol. She said she overheard me talking about being a candidate for #ward36. She corrected me, letting me know that we are actually in #ward30. I answered yes you are correct and that continues until the election is over. I explained to her the new boundary changes that were coming to many of the wards in Toronto and how exciting it will be to bring in a new community to our east end hub. She smiled at me and said, "You don't look or act like a candidate."I had to ask what she meant (I won't put this in quotes because I'm paraphrasing) You answered my question. You didn't make me feel dumb for not knowing the correct answer. You smiled when you talked to me. - It's to early to say much other than I've been smiling big and bold since last Monday. To have a chance to represent essentially a new riding, where my family, because of school, work, friends and birth has permanent roots in this community. It's exciting times. Two others have joined in vying to represent a gem of place to live in this big wide city of Toronto we all call home. It's early days but please take a look at my campaign page @lanrick2018 for #ward36 Reach out and lets grab a coffee in Felstead Park. Take a bike ride on the Danforth. Discuss services near and dear in one of our 4 @torontolibrary branches. From #visionzero to affordable & accessible housing. From supporting small businesses to activating better and smarter transit. My hashtag is to #domore I'm ready, willing and able to make that come to life and make it a reality. Let's do this.
