Essaouira has some amazing shopping!! For me personally, I'd say there's nothing in Fes or Marrakech that you couldn't ALSO find in Essaouira...but the experience of shopping here in "Essa" is much more enjoyable...and I say that even though a dude tried to rip my phone out of my hand 🙄 (he didn't realize he was messing w/a tough as nails Single Mom, and haha to him anyway if he'd actually been successful, my phone screen is hella cracked and filled w/pics and nothing useful... but anyway he was not as strong as I was, and he copped a verbal lashing from me too!🤬🦸♀️💪👎👊🤜). Despite all that tacky nonsense, Essaouira has some truly dreamy boutiques! This store @minimal_bazar is my personal favorite! It's STUNNINGLY styled and curated, it smells like heaven and the owner is wonderful! The store makes my heart happy! I can appreciate haggling in the souks, but also sometimes I just want to see beautiful things in a beautiful space and no hustling involved. If you come to Essaouira, and you totally should, I recommend giving the beautiful boutiques a good look at before you start filling your bags up. Go to Minimal, even if just to soak in the fabulous atmosphere 👌💎 ******************************* #moroccanstyle#moroccotravel#moroccotrip#morocco#essouira#visitmorocco#boutiqueshopping#shopsmall#beautifulboutiques#travelandshop#singlemomswhotravel#momswhotravel#femaletravelers#shewanders#sheisnotlost#shetravels#instatravel#instapics
Sitting in a beauty shop in the center of the magical medina in Marrakesh, my dear friend, @stephanieflor shared some news that brought me such joy. Beginning April 26, Stephanie’s company, @atwbeauty will begin offering walking beauty tours through the medina, led by female tour guides. I’m so honored to have experienced the launch with Sarah, Around the World Beauty’s first official tour guide. Sarah is a Morocco native and beauty enthusiast who led us to an argan oil cooperative, shared a recipe for an indigo face mask, and introduced us to a henna art space—woke up this AM to the rust-colored designs on my hands as a reminder of the experience. Thank you, Stephanie for having me. This next step is such a major testament to all of the hard work she’s put into her passion for global beauty. More photos of our beauty exploration to come in my stories! Photo by: @charliewan.dayburn #muchmorocco#visitmorocco#beautytourmorocco
