Sunday Sessions: Oh My God. The new album from Kevin Morby ‘Oh My God’ arrived this week and we’ve been giving it a good spin. Morby’s 5th Album is a beautiful grandiose offering which doesn’t take itself too seriously, despite the fact that it explores Love, Religion, God and Death and everything in between Gospel Choirs, Horns, Harps and even rain sounds join the usual suspects to great effect with the cohesion between music, lyrics and album artwork making for a perfect, deliberate themed package. In short, Primal Scream meets Bob Dylan and the Velvet Underground in a New Orleans Church. ‘Oh My God’ is a dreamy, psychedelic folk rock record. Perfect for a lazy Sunday Afternoon or maybe just a distraction to the political nonsense of the past month. Now don’t get me wrong, and don’t come for me.😌I love #madonna, always have and always will. I’m excited for the #madamex era but TBH it’s a grower for me. It’s great that the Queen 👑 is still pushing boundaries and reinventing herself through a new sonic direction. But I must say that I miss the eras of: Ray of Light (1999), Music (2000), American Life (2003), and Confessions on a Dance Floor (2005). Those eras gave me #life. Needless to say I will get behind every record/era she puts out no matter what. She can do whatever she wants ‘cause bitch, she’s Madonna! Just my two cents. ✌️💕
