Making beats to chase the Monday blues away. Idk about everyone else but I wish my Sunday nights would last forever. Haha. Mainly because I know what Monday demands from me. It's like the last couple hours left of freedom. I've caught myself complaining about having to work a regular job but I see it as an opportunity to be able to not have to stress over selling a certain amount of beats before rent and all that. It allows me to make music from the heart. And sure money is made from music and I love that my ideas can generate cash but at the end of the day... I do this because the process alone fills me with wealth. The money is extra. God already blessed you with everything you will ever NEED.

908. Lambchop- This (Is What I Wanted to Tell You) (2019) #lambchop // #ughwax // #mergerecords *** Day 908 of @ughwax *** #kurtwagner#indierock#vinylcollection *** A very very different approach from one of my all-time favorite bands Lambchop. *** “With ’This (Is What I Wanted To Tell You)’ Lambchop continue to establish themselves as forerunners and innovators of what was once called Alt Country. *** Their sound has morphed to encompass multiple genres, blending folk songwriting with the tones of urban soul. *** Following on from the pioneering sounds of ‘Flotus' (2017), ’This (Is what I wanted to tell you)’ showcases Lambchop at a new peak in their career, whilst still retaining the ingredients of their classic albums. ’This’ is brimming with ideas, songs and hooks. A huge influence on the new direction is Matthew McCaughan (of Bon Iver and Hiss Golden Messenger), who produced and co-wrote large parts of the album together with Kurt Wagner.” -City Slang
Cody was a platinum blonde pixie cut Montanan, with shaved legs & hairy armpits who let me “borrow” John Prine’s self titled debut on vinyl back when I was but a punk ass puke, mostly because I had a turntable and she had hocked hers. Cody told me that she couldn’t give it to me for keeps because she didn’t want me to remember her forever as the girl that turned me on to JP. She knew even then that she was so much more than that. #hellointhere#johnprine#analog#vinyl#sundaysession#justgivemeonethingthaticanholdonto
