Mark your calendars - it’s officially spring in my world! Today was the first smoothie of the year AND the first day my car’s A/C got used! . . . And tbh, this smoothie is all @primalharmony because I was too damn insistent on skipping the photo op & just drank mine RIGHT AWAY 😉 . . . It’s not my usual concoction, but I went for chocolate mint! . I usually start throwing random shit in the blender, but it went something like this: . ✨8-10oz unsweetened hemp milk ✨Handful frozen spinach ✨Handful frozen peaches ✨3 Tbsp hemp seeds ✨2 Tbsp cacao powder or smoothie mix ✨1-2 drops peppermint oil or extract ✨1-2 tsp ground flax seed ✨1-2 Tbsp nut butter . . I also added some maitake extract & L-glutamine/aloe/DGL powder, then topped it with mini chocolate chips 👌 . . . . . For the record, you will NEVER EVER see banana in my smoothies because I am thoroughly disgusted by them. Yeah, can’t do it. I’ll use frozen mashed avocado or flax seeds for creaminess & frozen peaches as the fruit base. . . . Has spring sprung in your kitchen yet?
I got to dine with @mchallb and @jaxcreilly this evening! It was wonderful to catch up and see what we have all been up to in our crazy wonderful lives. Naturally, we had some yummy food from the @couriercafe. I got a black bean burger with sweet potato chips. 😋

STUFFED CAPSICUMS 🌶 Stuffing- 1 clove garlic, 1 onion, 1 zucchini, 100g mushrooms, 1 tin of crushed tomatoes, 200g cooked brown rice, a couple of handfuls of baby spinach, Italian herbs and salt and pepper. Dice into small pieces. The smaller the better so the kids don’t know what they’re eating 😂 Stuff the capsicums and put them in a tray with a little bit of pasta sauce on the bottom. Put the tops of the capsicums back on and cover in foil. I baked them for an hour and took the foil off when they had 20 mins to go so they go nice and brown on top. If the kids hadn’t eaten all the vegan cheese I would’ve put that on top too! This mixture fills 5 capsicums 😍
When eating with a purpose I don’t get tired of eating the same foods because I am eating for a reason first, for health and second, for fitness goals 🌱 Plant-Based meal prep!🍠🥔🥬🥦🥕 • • • • #vegan#veganlove#veganrecipes#vegangirlpower#veganfood#vegano#vegan#veganismo#vegansofinstagram#veganfit#veganlife#vegancommunity#veganfortheanimals#veganpower#alkaline#alkalinediet#alkalinevegan#alkalinefoods#plantbased#cleanfood#veganvibes#veganfitfam#plantbasedprotein#healthylifestyle#healthyfood#health#veganfoodlovers#health#healthylifestyle#plantpowered#wholefoodplantbased#plantbasedfood#healthcoach

Cows are gentle social animals. They have the ability to recognize more than 100 other cows, and they form close friendships with members of their herd. Cows grieve when their friends or family members die. . Cows are quite intelligent animals who can remember things for a long time. Animal behaviorists have found that they interact in socially complex ways, developing friendships over time and sometimes holding grudges against other cows who treat them badly. . These gentle giants mourn the deaths of and even separation from those they love, sometimes shedding tears over their loss. The mother/calf bond is particularly strong, and there are countless reports of mother cows who continue to call and search frantically for their babies after the calves have been taken away and sold to veal or beef farms. - @peta . Like all animals, cows value their lives and don’t want to die. Help these beautiful animals live in peace by keeping them off your plate and by ditching dairy 🥛🐮❤️🌱🌈

“The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness” Dalai Lama ~~ A few years ago I went to Chicago for my very first Vegfest. At that time in my life I was naive to factory farming, animal testing, and all things vegan. As I walked through the crowd I found myself beginning to understand the unity, compassion, hope and goodness those around me had. I realized then and there being vegan is so much more than just eating good food! ~~ I’m still early in my vegan journey, but I’m so grateful and appreciative for the vegans who helped me along the way and all the vegans out there fighting for the lives of animals! Each day I find inspiration in a story, a picture, or a conversation; and I’m always eager to learn more. ~~ I’m a big believer in paying it forward and giving back. So I’m really excited for this Saturday and the Indy Vegfest! My wife and I are volunteering and looking forward to meeting and mingling with all the beautiful vegans in attendance! If you get a chance to stop by please do....it may change your life 🐷🐮🐰🐥🐗
I’ve always been into clothes, make up and hair. When I first decided to transition to a more zero waste lifestyle I was afraid I would lose all of the things I enjoyed. No more fun make up, cute outfits, or frizz free hair. That thought process quickly burnt me out from the zero waste lifestyle and I went back to buying fast fashion, plastic laden makeup and hair products. * It wasn’t until I realized I could still create fun outfits, do my make up and have great hair while living a zero waste lifestyle that the changes began to stick. * I no longer support fast fashion, but I do go thrifting and have fun doing it. I no longer buy cheap, chemically filled make up, I purchase from brands including @elatecosmetics , @dirtyhippiecosmetics , @100percentpure . I no longer use products that destroy my hair, but fluctuate between water only and @seedphytonutrients. * I’m not mentioning any of the above brands because you need to run out and buy them to be zero waste. I want to share my story so those of you out there who feel the same way know there are alternatives to live a lower waste lifestyle. * I am far from the perfect zero waster. I have found a form of low waist, zero waist, call it what you want, that works for me and is sustainable. Just like veganism, zero waste is a journey and it’s important to find what works for you so you can stick with it and make a change

Hi! 🌟 When it comes to veganism, pretty much everyone has different ideas and approaches. And we’re all for that. Our favourite - and really photogenic - cows, Noah and Winston, only ever eat grass, for example. 🐮 We’re a group of people from all over the world and we share unique stories from fellow vegans. We’re here to break down misconceptions and celebrate veganism. 🥳 Promoting a compassionate lifestyle, we’re not here to judge people, we’re here to support you on your vegan journey. Vegan or not, you’re welcome here (heck, let’s be real, most of us have been eating meat and dairy for the most part of our lives). We hope our diverse range of interviewees will inspire you! 🤯We’ll be sharing how people support the cause, overcome obstacles that make it hard to become or stay vegan and much more! Oh, and you’ll get a new recipe or two along the way! We are already really excited and can’t wait to share your stories! 💚
