There are two locations on Kauai...maybe even more? Not sure, we only went to two of them! But, we went 4 or 5 times while we we’re there because it was SO GOOD. Yet another young elephant in Kerala gives up his fight against the brutality of man. The elephant is SRIHARI, owned by Thrippoonithura Seva Sangham, who died on the night of 15th September, as a result of extreme cruelty and and harsh treatment at the hands of his keepers. The terrible living conditions contributed further in accelerating his untimely death. He was barely 35 years old. Seva Sangham is a body formed by the devotees of the Thrippoonithura temple. The elephant Srihari, that died a most pathetic death, was kept in appalling conditions, had no proper ownership papers and had come into their possession through illegal means. At the time of his death, the elephant had deep wounds all over his body and he seemed to have (obviously) suffered a lot of beatings and torture. The elephant was forced to participate and perform in various temple festivals and religious processions, for large amounts of money, which went into the pockets of the big bosses of the Seva Sangham. Last year, in November, during a temple festival celebrations, the same elephant ran amok, and was later caught and chained up and thrashed brutally. This is a most unforgivable case of cruelty and the perpetrators must be booked and punished. We at SEW have registered a complaint with the concerned authorities. We look forward to a quick and appropriate action to bring to justice the people responsible for the death of this young bull. While they worship lord Ganesha, they treat elephants so brutally. Shame on them. Religion has no meaning without kindness for all living beings. RIP brave one. They couldn’t break your spirit so they killed you. You’re in a better place. God bless your beautiful soul.

Most of you have been following this story on Christian’s page. A month ago this little one was spotted near our job for the first time. Christian and a coworker almost got him that day but he got away. We looked for him for days and after having some record low temperatures, we thought he would have not made it out there on his own. A week later, Christian sent me a photo of the dog near a creek sleeping and tells me he found him. Christian and a coworker tried catching him but he got away twice. We gathered a group of people to help. When the dog noticed us, he started running towards a side no one was on and Christian immediately jumped a creek and tackled him in the mud. We took him home and the next day we took him to the vet and found out he was recently neutered and had some dental work done. He was barely 9 pounds. We also found out he was microchipped. I called the microchip and I was told he was adopted the same day he ran away and that his new caretaker was very worried and hopeful to find him. After talking to the man, we met at his house and returned him. But over a week ago, I got a voice mail from the man stating he can no longer care for the dog. The voice mail was scary and sad. He asked to come get him and that he had also called animal control to come get him. I immediately called Christian and a few minutes later Christian called me and tells me that as soon as he turned into his street, he noticed the dog running in the middle of the street and was being chased by police officers and neighbors. Eventually they cornered him and a police officer grabs him and doesn’t let go even after getting bitten by the dog. Christian then noticed the man in the back of a cop car, crying and telling Christian sorry and to take good care of the dog. This little one is friendly, calm and so well behaved. He’s five years old, neutered. He gets along with our dogs and doesn’t mind our cats. He hasn’t had an accident inside and always goes outside. He

La sociedad suele pensar que ser Vegano no es nada saludable. Y no es verdad🙄. ⠀ ⠀⠀ Las dietas veganas bien planificadas son una opción nutricionalmente saludable y equivalente a una dieta que incluya carne y/o pescado👌. ⠀ ⠀ Pero si son realizadas de forma incorrecta pueden causar problemas de salud como otras dietas😝. ⠀ ⠀⠀ Los principales problemas que suelen tener los Veganos INEXPERTOS es que les faltan nutrientes como: calcio, hierro, Omega 3, Vitamina B12, proteína.. ⠀ ⠀ Estos nutrientes se pueden conseguir con otros alimentos que no vienen de animales perfectamente. Solo hay que saber planificarlo🤓. ⠀ Las proteínas están formadas por aminoácidos que están más presentes en animales. ⠀ La forma de consumirlos siendo Vegano es la combinación de alimentos: arroz/legumbres💪. ⠀ ⠀⠀ Ejemplo: Las proteínas pueden venir de las Legumbres, soja, tofu.. ⠀ ⠀ El Hierro está en legumbres, cereales, frutos secos.. ⠀ El Omega 3 suele estar en nueces, semillas de chía.. ⠀ Vitamina B12 se tiene que consumir como suplemento.
