RAW APPLE CRUMBLE 🌞 🌞 It wouldn’t be a raw week without some raw apple crumble! This is by far one of my all time favorite raw meals. It’s easy to prep but doesn’t lack any flavor. I like to make enough crumble & sauce to have for about 3 meals. I haven’t posted food in a while. I am not one of those staged food photographers, though I do like to make sure my plate/bowl is “presentable”. I thought this would be a nice reminder that though I really crave (and show) a lot of comfort meals: potatoes, pastas, burgers, pizzas, etc... Sometimes it’s nice to remind myself that “less is more”. Getting back to basics; as whole as it gets (no oil, or added salts). 🥒🍠 I made my first #buddhabowl tonight. Man...the enriched flavor that come out of these bowls is phenomenal. So. Much. Flavor. To. Appreciate. And it all comes from the soil we walk on! 🌏 ▪️Quinoa ▪️Sweet potato ▪️Radish ▪️Black Beans ▪️Diced 🥒 ▪️Chopped Parsley ▪️Chopped Cilantro ▪️Tahini Dressing ▪️Diced 🍅 (I added some leftover avocado 🥑) ⤵️ This bowl is as karma positive as I can think of. Colorful. Nutrient rich. No suffering. Very filling. Very satisfying. Homemade. 🧘🏼♀️🌱 Killing animals for food is unnecessary. They are individuals to be protected, observed, and appreciated. Plants have the power to heal and nurture from the inside out. Do it. For the Earth. For your Health. And for the animals. 🙏 #namaste
P200 ($4) for my stir fried veggies enough to feed 4-5 people! 😍💚 ~ Also, I received feedback from people regarding me eating beef pho and it made me feel like rawvana lol but I’ve been back to an omni diet since last year. Just wanted to clear that out although I’m still doing my very best to eat mostly veg especially when I’m alone, which is most of the time. I know all I have are excuses but right now this is the best I can do. 😢
Here’s tonight’s dinner. Not bad, considering I said I wouldn’t cook! Here’s some sautéed tofu squares served with “green rice”, roasted pumpkin slice, and a simple fresh salad with cashew ranch dressing. For the rice, I just take some leftover rice and reheat it with vegan pesto and shredded spinach... it’s a tasty way to give leftover rice some new life. I’ll place the recipe for the cashew ranch dressing and the roasted pumpkin in the comments. You’re going to want to make this pumkin... it is amazing!! 😋🙌🏼

It's a rainbow sushi kind of night 😍 I love sweet potato in my sushi- it adds sucha wonderful sweetness to it! It went really well with the crispy eggplant and tofu, all coated in my homemade terriyaki sauce. I swear, sushi like this will never get old to me! To make my terriyaki sauce you need - 1/4 inch nub of chopped and grated ginger - 1 clove garlic - 1/4 cup amnio acids or soy sauce - 4 tbs water -1/2 cup sugar -1/2 Tbs cornstarch Heat on meduim and mix with a whisk until the sauce is thickened up (took me about 7 mins) *add some seseame seeds to it at the end if you want!

GOLDEN PUMPKIN HUMMUS 💛🎃💛 by @breakfastnbowls via @vegancanteen #vegancanteen ✨ RECIPE * 1 can chickpeas, cooked * 2 tbsp pumpkin puree * 1 tbsp tahini * 1 tbsp olive oil * 1 tbsp lemon juice * 1/8 cup water * 1/2 tsp ground turmeric * 1/4 tsp gram masala * 3/4 tsp Himalayan salt Drain and rinse chickpeas. Add them to a food processor or high-speed blender along with all other ingredients. Blend until creamy and smooth, scraping down sides as needed. Adjust the thickness adding water to thin until a creamy dip has formed. Enjoy with vegetables or crackers! 💫

So it takes some effort to get them into a usable state. But in short, they’re removed from the fruit, the shell is steamed or otherwise cracked off, and then they are cleaned and packed. These are then stoneground to a smooth paste before they arrive to us. Purpose in gelato: It helps form our creamy base Why we use it: It has a much better health and environmental impact than traditional dairy! This is another ingredient that has had reported issues with poor worker conditions at the processing plants.
