Since it’s hump day 🤷🏼♀️😌🍑 Anyway - just wanted to quickly say that if you’re feeling scared, uncomfortable & vulnerable like I am right now, it means that so much growth and self-development are happening! Recently I’ve been thinking a lot about the next few months, my mental health, what kind of person I want to be, and how i am growing as an individual. Sometimes you just have to take it day by day & trust that the discomfort you’re experiencing right now will lead you to greater things in the future, both mentally and physically! I’m slowly learning to embrace being vulnerable and truly manifesting my true self despite what others may think. Exposing yourself may feel terrifying at times, but each time you do, it’s a step forward in the right direction imo ❤️ just some thoughts 🤗 hope everyone had a fab Wednesday! ✨
W18W5 #roadtokona2020 was a toughie and once again I’m left with a major question after a ride in playa Blanca - how can there be strong winds both going out and coming back? It should not be possible. Anyway I keep telling myself that it’s great for my leg power/strength and stamina!! So I did a 33.4km cycle and felt good throughout. I felt strong in combatting the wind and the average wasn’t terrible. I purposely took it reasonably easy on way out(before knew super windy) so could have gone faster. I’m happy with my performance and another good training session done. With VegfestUk Brighton this weekend I only have today and tomorrow to cycle so making best use of these 2 days getting out on bike. It will be running while I’m gone

So the other day I asked y’all if you work out on vacation, and it was about 50/50. Vacation is a time for a little R&R, right? Yes, of course it is, but...... I find when I abruptly stop working out for a week of vacation it’s that much harder to get back into it AND my days on vacation are better when I begin them at the gym! EVEN if that day consists of sitting poolside 🌞 Even if it’s every other day or vacay, and/or lighter and shorter workouts, it’s in your best interest to stay on track with your goals and routine at least 70% of the time while traveling and enjoying life! 20.3.19 | Half Lotus Pose/Ardha Padmasana - There are no criteria that you have to meet in order to be considered “good” at yoga. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Unfortunately, too often is lotus seen as an objective that must be attained before you can call yourself a yogi. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ But the fact is is that it’s a difficult posture to force your body into if your knees and hips aren’t used to it and there is nothing yoga about forcing a pose. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Poses like half lotus and fire log are great for trying to develop this flexibility but even these poses are difficult and there is never a need to push your body quicker than it can cope. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ The only thing there is to truly gauge your yoga progress is simply how you feel yourself.
