I found this easier for me than foot to armpit because of the required twist which my scoliosis does not like. . . Day 7 of #sideplanksalad is the last day where the hosts lost their mind and brought us #yogidandasana in #vasisthasana or foot to armpit in a side plank. 😱 I haven’t tried Yogidandasana for a while and wasn’t sure if the foot would stay there. It did, but grabbing the knee with the constrained hand didn’t happen and I wouldn’t even try on the other side. Maybe in the next challenge of this kind if the hosts decide to make another one. Welcome to Day 7️⃣#Sideplanksalad 🥗🍽 . On the menu: #sideplanksalad Last Day: 📐🥗 #yogidandasana in #vasisthasana or #foottoarmpit in #sideplank or #thisisnothappeningformetodayormaybenever😂😂😂😂😂 “Yeah never happening, this ole’ lady is not built like that.” That was my first thought when I saw this last night. Then my my thought “Well you used to be able to do stuff like this 40 years ago no problem” Yes this was a serious back in forth in my crazy 😜 ass mind. So since I need to practice what I preach to my students “Do what you can with out harm” I did what was available to me. I have enjoyed this Side Plank Journey. Did some things I didn’t know I could do and excepted what I could not do when I couldn’t. This for me is a great accomplishment because in my mind my body is 12 years old again so I sometimes talk to my inner self with a chastising voice, to let go of that judgement and to have a come to Jesus moment where I accept 52 is really what this body is and love every single part of what it cannot do as much as what it can do, well like I said Accomplishment! . Starting the plank buffet off with a fun balance in half lotus! . 🥄🥕🥑🍅🥦Recipe for success: Please be sure to flex your half lotus foot to protect the knee! Warm up your whole body, hips especially! Pad the grounded knee with a rug, double mat, or towel if needed. #yogapaws @yogapaws can help with stability on the grounded foot! Reach and energize through the extended top arm and fingers. Engage the core and draw low belly up and in to stabilize. Use wall behind you for balance if needed! . Work both sides even if you only post one! Final day of #sideplanksalad and I just don't have much of myself to give today. Everyone has taken it all, and I'm getting no opportunity to fill back up. Just in the 10 minutes I took to get ready and do the assignment, all hell broke loose again. My plank worked okay, at least. Hippy stuff is my weakest area, so I never quite know how new hippy poses will go. Not as strong as I hoped, but better than I expected. The smile is totally fake. I didn't hate the pose, but today is a shit salad (Literal. Dog shit. All over my carpet.), so it was better than a glare or the dead look of having no fucks left to give. 🤷♀️ Thanks hosts for another great challenge. Day 7️⃣ of #sideplanksalad 📐🥗 is #yogidandasana in #sideplank and I went with a modification as the rotation isn’t there yet. Still, this was still a workout. 😅 .
