one of my spiritual goals is to keep inviting joy into my life. if something doesn’t bring me joy, then I have no space, time, or energy for that in my heart. these are some things that do bring me joy: ❥trying new food when we travel ❥learning to cook - I started taking it pretty seriously this year🙆🏻♀️ ❥neighborhood walks with my pup ❥ritual mornings with my pup & hubby - we wake up pretty early, cuddle in bed, he makes tea, I make breakfast ❥the beach, I feel very lucky that I live near so many🌞 ❥visiting art galleries & museums ❥live music ❥yoga, obviously :) stretching, practicing, teaching ❥journaling- it reminds me to live each day in gratitude most of these are so simple and most don’t cost a thing. :) how do you invite more joy into your life?
In every pose, in every moment, always remembering to meet myself where I am. That “target” is constantly shifting based on time of day, time of month, what I did the day before, how much I’ve eaten or need to eat, how tight I feel... Here, tightness in my wrists means my hands are placed higher than my feet and on a downward slope. - This is what the yogis mean when they say “listen to your body.” If it hurts or needs attention tend it. If it’s energized, move it. If it’s tired, rest it. - . . . . . . #urdhvadhanurasana#upwardbowpose#backbend#listentoyourbody#namaste#yogateacher#getoutside#yogainnature
Our origins, environment and experiences (good and bad) all have an influence on who we are now. So when unpleasant memories come to mind, instead of avoiding and repelling them away. I simply try to accept them and see them as character building. Acceptance brings peace to the heart. . . . @climb_and_yoga @prana @pranaboulder @beyondhopeuk #climbandyoga 📸 by @evie_cotrulia
it’s been raining all day in Krabi so today is one of the only days of our trip that we have done absolutely n o t h i n g all day. we walked to a little café for breakky but besides that, we’ve been in bed planning where we’re going next and looking through the photos from our adventure so far. here’s a fun one from a rainy day in Tegallalang, Bali last month 🌾
