Kate Merrill believes connecting with people through music is her richest payday. Kate studied Musical Theater at Manhattanville College then transferred to Wagner College, graduating with a B.S. in Arts Administration. Her idea was to live a life of performance and then give back to the kids and aspiring performers by opening a performing arts studio, and that is now the five year plan. Kate’s passion is singing with live bands in the small club scene of NYC. There is something about the smaller venues that makes her feel very alive, where she’s telling a story that someone is receiving so directly. She writes and perform in an original band that mixes elements of pop, rock, and blues, and she has also worked part- time as a singer for The International Musicians League. Outside of her music, Kate works as a movement instructions at The Center for Movement and Uptown Pilates. She was a dancer most of her life and after “years of letting my body develop imbalances and body image issues,” she turned to pilates and now teaches people healthy strengthening and lengthening movement. The best thing that’s happened to Kate was getting the opportunity to spontaneously move out west, fall in love, make music and live in the present. So far, not looking back or anxiously looking forward has made her happier and more complete. For Kate, sustainability means something that survives time and change due to its inherent quality. Kate, we had an amazing time taking your photos and goofing around. You somehow manage to be both visionary and grounded, and with that attitude we know all your plans can’t help but to succeed.
___🎄___ Bisous tout doux 💚🍃 ___🎄___ #christmas#christmastime🎄 #upcycling#upcycle#reuse#reusereducerecycle#zerowaste#zerodechet#zerowastelife#deco#decoration#christmasdecorations#christmasdecor#inspiration#inspo#homedecor#homedecoration#decorationinterieur#decoration#decorationnoel

We have had an absolute blast over the past year with our Maker Of The Month up-cycled build submission contest! November, last month, was the final month of this competition, and it’s safe to say we went out with a bang! The winner of the November 2018 MOTM Competition is Kip Gomez! Kip built a floor lamp from a water heater tank and a squirrel cage fan. Complete with a three-level touch sensitive switch and an Edison bulb, this steampunk room accent was a hit with the public amassing over 2,000 votes! Kip wins a pair of @keenutility boots, and, of course, bragging rights! Thanks to KEEN for their continued support of this contest and for giving the winners something to remind them of their hard work! The runner up, with a little over 1,000 votes, was a cool, multi-species, wooden map of the United States created by the husband and wife team Kelly and Charlie Tragas. They created this map to remind them of everywhere they've traveled as a couple and have since built a few more for friends and family! Thanks to our winner and everyone who has supported or participated in the Maker Of The Month competition over the past year! In a few weeks, we will be publishing a highlight reel featuring all the past winners and their projects so stay tuned for that! . . . #motm#makerofthemonth#artisan#craftsmen#upcycle#reclaim#salvage#roanoke#submission#contest#competition#keen#utility#boots#waterheater#floorlamp#wood#unitedstates#map#snow#dogs#stellaknows#may#november#final
Sweetest vintage Little Bo Peep planter. Look close - she even has tears 🖤. I believe her to be Haeger, however her sticker is gone. She’s 7.75” tall - perfect for a vintage baby nursery. She’s in excellent condition - no chips or cracks. $24 Comment ‘sold’ and DM for pick up information.
Look, whilst everyone else is off bragging about their elf on the shelf skills I thought it only fair we introduce you to ELFWEINER ♥️ I refused to buy a bloody elf last year so the kids made their own... she is full of voodoo Christmas magic ✨ #elfontheshelf#allthelols#instaelf#upcycle
