I never really planned on going out into the middle of Central America’s largest lake on this day, so please pardon my poor choice of beach wardrobe. This is Punta Jesús Maria, but if you want score some local points this spot is know as Punta de la Paloma. The day itself was exhausting and a stroll along the beach was well deserved. What can you do in 24 hours on Ometepe? A lot of things! But I’ll only share what I did. We arrived to Moyogalpa in the morning, probably no later than 9am and ate breakfast. Here’s a piece of advice, when in Nicaragua don’t order specialty food such as an English breakfast like I did. I expected nothing and was still let down. If memory serves, the only difference between my “English breakfast” vs. the Nicaraguan one was that I got a sausage and a piece of toast. In hindsight, it was pretty English since it was so disappointing. Next, we headed over the Ojo del Agua. The literal translation is Eye of the Water, but it’s really a Waterhole and the supposed “Fountain of Youth.” Honestly, I don’t any younger since swimming in there. Promptly after that we decided to circle the entire island. I can’t recommend doing this at all. Perhaps if you have a four-wheeler and have 2 hours to kill, but circling a large island is just not worth the time. It did give me the opportunity of those previous photos, but I just can’t recommend this. We actually planned on doing this simply because there’s a waterfall we wanted to see in the southern part of the island, but it required a 4km hike and local Nicaraguans aren’t renown for their love of hiking to see a waterfall. In fact, turning on a faucet would bring us the same joy. After circling the island and checking into our Airbnb, we grabbed dinner. Since I was on an island I needed seafood and a sizable Snapper did just the trick! We had a great dinner as we watched a Turkish telenovela. This now bring me here, to the Punta de la Paloma at sunset for the beautiful
. . #antwerp#amberes#belgium#visitantwerp#eurotrip#street#wall#cartoon#streetart#travelpost#traveller#trip#travelphotography
Life is like a mountain Life is like a mountain.🙄 . It is born when two tectonic plates crash together. It has to get bigger slowly with patience.🤔 . Some of them have to survive hot volcano running through it. 🥴 It has to keep up with all the seasons without batting a eye. 🤥 It has to bear all the stamps from people.🤪 . And finally others start appreciating the beauty of the mountain.☺️🤗 But rarely does anyone remember what the mountain had to go through to be that beautiful. . Life is very similar. 😮 Life is not easy for every one.😮 . Those who have the right amount of will , determination and discipline along with ample of patience achieve great things in their life.🙂✌️ . Others will just watch the successful people in awe. 👋 . Shot @ Srinagar, Kashmir. . Clicked on oneplus6 . #oneplus6#mountainlife#mountainphotography#india_undiscovered
Nowhere Diary 10: After coming out of a mountain tunnel, this was the view we were greeted with. Beautiful cirrus clouds draws your attention straight to the looming, snow covered mountains off in the distance. Just wish I had my skis!
