I find that more and more of us are in the process of wanting to change but don’t know what that looks like who where to even start.⁣ ⁣ .⁣ ⁣ I know that was me and I am still working on that process as most of us are always striving to be better, bolder, stronger, healthier, etc.⁣ One thing that I learned is that you can not skip steps. I see this so much in my community.⁣ .⁣ ⁣ ➡️I’m behind⁣ ➡️I eat healthy all the time⁣ ➡️I wish I had more time⁣ ➡️Should I eat this or that⁣ ➡️I feel so overwhelmed⁣ ➡️I feel anxious⁣ ➡️This is hard⁣ ➡️This is confusing⁣ ➡️I only lost this much⁣ ➡️I want more energy⁣ ➡️I am not a morning person⁣ ➡️I’m tired⁣ ➡️When does this get easier⁣ ➡️How can I lose 20 lbs in the shortest amount of time possible⁣ ⁣ .⁣ ⁣ I just wish I was already (insert 10 steps ahead from where you are now). Here is what I have learned from my journey as well as helping many clients with their journey. There is no one size fits all.⁣ ⁣ .⁣ ⁣ Embrace the stage you are in.  Deeply embrace it.⁣ ⁣ .⁣ ⁣ Whatever feelings you have are the feelings you are meant to have at this stage.  Validate them and know that if you bypass this stage you are not going to be able to learn all the lessons that this stage is meant to teach you. Believe me. I get it now.  I understand why I was the way I was, why I treated myself the way I did. It’s not all pretty, rainbows and butterflies. But I wouldn’t wish it away because now I find myself with deeper purpose, passion and love and know that I was meant to go through this so that I can help many more people out there.⁣ ⁣ .⁣ ⁣ I promise you if you do this, you will grow. Taking imperfect action and doing 1 thing every day to help yourself. You will grow.

7 Habits that will help you lose weight ⠀ Today was the first frost in Maryland. I don't know about you, but I love fall. Everything about it. And having a nice cup of black coffee makes the day even better! What's your favorite thing about fall?! ⠀ Now let's get to it. This is heather! We worked together for a little over a’ year. Shes seen amazing results! She understands that it's not about being perfect, but doing your best. She made her health a priority. And look at her results! You ready?! Let’s GOOO! ⠀ 1 Consistent breakfast helps you build good eating habits throughout the day. Having some protein will help lower your body fat and build muscle too. ⠀ 2 High intensity style workouts give you the most bang for your buck. Doing exercises like squats, kettlebell swings, and burpees at high intensity for a short period of time will burn more calories than walking on the treadmill. Don’t waste your time in the gym walking for an hour on the treadmill. ⠀ 3 Keep a food journal. You need to see exactly what your eating habits are without guessing. A food journal is the only way to do that. ⠀ 4 Drink more water. Thirst can be disguised as hunger. When you drink more water you'll tend to eat less. ⠀ 5 Walk more. Even if you can't make it to the gym, going on a walk will help your mental health by relaxing your mind. You want to get in the routine of daily exercise. ⠀ 6 More fiber. This will help you stay fuller longer. Seeds are a great way to get it, chia seeds and flax seeds are great in a smoothie or yogurt. ⠀ 7 Eat more. Fruits and veggies. Give your body what it needs so it can operate at it’s best. Fruits and veggies are also low calorie so you can eat more of them. ⠀ SPECIAL SAUCE. Look for help. No one can do it alone. Find a coach that shares your same values and can help you get the results. When you don't have to guess, you don't have to waste your time.
