Success is leading your couch to 5k running group past just the running and into BEING a runner!!. Far too many times I see runners who don't feel like a "runner". They say, I can't run far yet, I can't run fast yet, I'm not a runner yet. NOT true! If you have the heart to get those shoes on and go out to try your best, then YOU ARE a runner!. What is your Motivation? Don’t “Spur” yourself. Go from “I have to force myself to workout 😰” to “I Want to workout! 🤠”⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Here are 2 principles that will help:⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 1. Find deep, meaningful, long-term reasons that compel you to exercise as opposed to shallow short term ones.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ❌ “I want to look good for the beach this summer.”⁣⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ✅ “I want to improve my confidence, self worth and be proud of who I am.“⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ 2. Use positive emotions like love and hope rather than negative emotions like fear and guilt. Positive emotions are stronger long term.⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ❌ “If I don’t go to the gym I’ll feel guilty.”⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ✅ “I look forward to having some me time at the gym where I can focus and clear my head.
