MY TRAINING PROGRAM 🏋🏼‍♀️ I’m currently rewriting and working out my training program so that it includes workouts I enjoy and areas I want to focus on!! It will include a fair bit of cardio training (mainly fasted cardio) because I LOVEEE training cardio ahah, upper body and lower body muscular strength and muscular endurance training (including a full body HIIT session), abs and booty 🍑 I play left winger for football so it will also include agility and sprint training and then closer to the start of the season it’ll include football drills!! Because i’m super injury prone and still have existing issues due to previous injuries, I need to focus on stretching and foam rolling so I have a weekly session designated for just that. I mix up my workouts and do majority outside, some in the gym and some at home. I also adapt them for how I’m feeling that day (e.g. I might not feel like doing sprints on the designated sprint day so I will swap that for upper body and do sprints on the designated upper body day) - that way I’m still training but I’m also enjoying it!! For me enjoyment is the biggest motivator for my training (as well as the health and fitness benefits) I loveee the feeling of getting my sweat on and working out so I want to enjoy what I’m doing and I don’t want it to feel like a chore!! I mix up my workouts for a bit of fun and variety as well, so for cardio I might run/sprint the streets one session and then the next session I’ll go to the sand dunes and run/sprint up them. Make your workouts are fun and enjoyable, that way you’ll be happy to train!!
