#partner Thanks to @crownpublishing #sponsored for the #giftedcopy . . This cover. The iridescence is stunning and I dont think photos will ever do it justice. Who read Dark Matter? I still havent 🙈🙈 but it's on the neverending TBR 🙌 . . Recursion by Blake Crouch (June 2019) . . "Memory makes reality. . That’s what NYC cop Barry Sutton is learning, as he investigates the devastating phenomenon the media has dubbed False Memory Syndrome—a mysterious affliction that drives its victims mad with memories of a life they never lived. . That’s what neuroscientist Helena Smith believes. It’s why she’s dedicated her life to creating a technology that will let us preserve our most precious memories. If she succeeds, anyone will be able to re-experience a first kiss, the birth of a child, the final moment with a dying parent. . As Barry searches for the truth, he comes face to face with an opponent more terrifying than any disease—a force that attacks not just our minds, but the very fabric of the past. And as its effects begin to unmake the world as we know it, only he and Helena, working together, will stand a chance at defeating it. . But how can they make a stand when reality itself is shifting and crumbling all around them?" . . #blakecrouch#crownpublishing#bookstoreview#unitedbookstagram#yellowbooks#coffeemugs#diymugrack#sciencefiction#scifi#thriller#recursion#toberead#tbr#unitedbookstagram#bibliophile#bookinhand#booklovers#allthebookreviews#atbr2019

Happy #sequelsaturday, friends! ❤️ Here’s a sequel that I’m definitely planning on getting to sooner rather than later. I just can’t stay away from my love, Nico Di Angelo, for too long! P.S. Isn’t this cover just stunning? 😍
The Long Song, by Andrea Levy. ... Hi everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve been on here. Two reasons: 1, I’ve been really busy as my first children’s book is due out very soon (eek!) and 2, I was in a bit of a reading slump and started watching Game of Thrones (and before I knew it I was totally addicted and I’m ashamed to say I’m going to bed to watch that rather than read my beloved books - I know, I’m so sorry, but have you seen it?!) ... Some of the mums at our school recently set up a book club which I joined without hesitation - and this is the first book that’s been chosen. I don’t need much persuading to go on Amazon and order a new book (or a used one in this case). ... The Long Song is set in Jamaica during the last turbulent years of slavery. I’ve heard it’s powerful, captivating, heartbreaking and inspiring. ... I know I’m going to enjoy this and I can’t wait to get started (hmm but I also really want to watch GoT!) ... Has anyone read it? What did you think? And do you watch #gameofthrones ? 😂
***** FOREVER AND NEVER BLURB REVEAL! Lars Bradby was supposed to be my forever. That was before we found out he would become a father at the tender age of eighteen. For years, he’d watched me. For months, he’d wanted me. For weeks, he’d chased me. Relentless and infuriating, he turned my stubborn heart into something pliable and weak. Sly and honest, he worked his way into my life as though he’d always planned to be the focal point of it. In love and naive, even when our future seemed bleak, I believed in us. Heartbroken and desperate, I tore my bleeding heart from my chest, wanting only the best for him. In doing so, our forever wasn’t just interrupted. It was chased away with one irreversible decision after another. And now, we could no longer see it beneath the heaping piles of debris we’d left in our wake. 💔 COMING JUNE 28! AMERICAN SPY is a slow burner. For me, I like a page-turning thriller. This spy novel challenged me, first with its epistolary form, then with its pacing. It’s measured, a record of the past, a sequence of circumstances explained or rather, presented, to the reader. Heres how I got to the CIA. Here’s what happened. Where they sent me. Who I spied on. Why. Here’s where you came in — and why you’re orphans, my sons. I didn’t really enjoy this book. At the time I read it, I wished it was more like other thrillers I’ve read, more familiar—easier to read frankly. But I pushed myself to finish it. And since doing so (I read this nearly two months ago), it sneaks into my thoughts and continues to force questions into my consciousness. I think it’s much better than I gave it credit for at the time. I think my first read said more about me than it.
