The Reverse Curl. It’s the red headed step child of bicep exercises (sorry red heads. I think you’re great.) Even more so than the hammer curl. ———————————————————————— I know I know “But Jason, supinated grip curls give me a better pump, and I can feel my biceps contract better!” This is certainly true, BUT there’s a little muscle underneath your biceps brachii that when properly developed helps add thickness to your biceps and helps push the long head (outer most head) up. This muscle is called the brachialis. ———————————————————————— Perform the reverse curl with an ez curl bar as shown in the photo. Keep your elbows locked at your sides and your wrists neutral. ———————————————————————— Make sure you lower the weight slowly. If your reverse curl strength isn’t between 78-82% of your barbell curl strength, then your brachialis is significantly under developed.
