Bronx has more shoes than I do... this is like 1/8 of her collection. 🤣 I’m not jealous at all. 😬😩 // New post on the blog with my top 5 favorite shoe brands for ages 9-18 months. Link is in my bio and on my story!
Today, Teddy wrote letters all over the backyard. Evie sat and read books to her animals for awhile. Teddy and I cuddled on my bed and talked about our favorite things. I hid behind Evie's highchair and scared her into a fit of giggles. They gave me lots of hugs and each other lots of hugs and I gave them lots of kisses. Those are the things I want to remember.
Last year I watched a fashion documentary called, “The True Cost of Fashion”. The movie aims to provide answers to how our clothing is produced and traces the changes to market demand for cheap, fast fashion. 👗👚🧥🥼👠🧣 It was eye-opening, and made a lasting impact on me as a consumer and lover of fashion. While I favour quality over quantity as a rule, I decided to make some serious modifications to the way I was consuming clothes. Enter the “On Year Fashion Challenge” - my self-imposed promise to see if I could go one year without buying any new clothes, not only for myself, but also for my children and husband. After all is said and done, it’s just best not to buy things in the first place. So far, I have stayed true to my goal and have not bought any new clothes. I have bought one vintage cotton blouse, which I feel is okay as it’s high quality cotton and was produced before the rise of fast fashion (and what appears to be hand stitching). So...I wanted to ask you lovely people - have you done a similar fashion challenge? Do you have tips or tricks or suggestions for me or someone considering a similar challenge? Are you passionate about slow, ethical and sustainable fashion? I’d love to hear your thoughts! -Adrienne Founder & Director Cloudberry Writing
I am in an industry where I’m suppose to have a main focus. You shoot weddings? You only shoot couples. You shoot families, better be only posting kids. But here’s the thing, I honestly have too much love for too many things to just have one focus. Maybe that breaks the rules and maybe that makes me not always trendy or cool, but I am good at too many things right now, to have a main focus. And I’m chill about that. I know, you’re not suppose to talk about the rules and you’re not suppose to say you’re good at something...but I guess I’ve established that I’m not about following these set industry rules, that I’m accepting and being okay about that. Because trust me, it’s something I’ve gone back and forth about for years. So whether you’re here for weddings, couples, family, video, I hope you feel something, because THAT is my main focus. ☼
Last year, I made $40K off side-hustles alone. I used some of it to travel to this beaut! 🌴❤️ On tonight’s blog post I talk about the easy-entry/minimal effort side jobs you can get too! Let’s get to this shmoney 😎
After playing pat-a-cake with Joseph little miss Aria declares, “You had better put an R on it because you’re probably going to eat most of it because it’s probably a chocolate cake.” She’s not wrong 😏 and apparently still bitter about how last time we made cupcakes I insisted they be chocolate instead of pink or rainbow and then ate most of them. #ariarose#josephray#ariaanecdotes
Listening to Magnolia “read” to him ‘We’re going on an egg hunt’ for the umpteenth time. It’s been the only book she’s wanted to read for 5 weeks now so an emergency trip to b & n was in order today to restock our bookshelves with some new Easter material. 😂
I’ve been allowing myself to recover slowly from this (third) c-section and it’s made all of the difference. I now realize that these first few weeks with a newborn are precious and all I NEED to be doing is snuggling Phoebe and resting my body. 💗 (My natural inclination - enneagram 7 🙋♀️ - is to want to do ALL OF THE THINGS, so this experiment in rest is extra challenging and interesting to me!)
ROAD TRIP!! 5 hours down, 5 more to go and this pretty much sums up how we’re feeling 🤪What’s the longest road trip you’ve taken with littles? We once drove from CA to MO over a span of three days. It was so much fun and also 🤪☠️😂 Hit me with your best road trip advice in the comments👇🏻 Here’s mine: 1. Alllll the snacks 2. If the kids are happy and/or there’s a baby sleeping DO NOT STOP NO MATTER WHAT!!! 3. We always plan for an extra hour to stop around dinner (tonight it was takeout at the park) and let the kids get their wiggles out. Then change them into jams, brush teeth, and hit the road again. If you’re lucky they’ll fall asleep and you can continue driving in peace🤞🏻 4. When you stop for gas get big cups of pebble ice and some little cups to pass it around so the kids can munch on it 👍🏻 5. When things get real crazy, roll down all the windows and turn the music up REAL loud🤘🏻 6. Have EXTREMELY low expectations and have FUN!! ☺️ #wilkinsfamtravels

Have you caught Shawn Anchor’s podcast on The Life-Altering Power of a Positive Mind? Check this:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Scientific research 🤓 has shown writing down three things you’re grateful for each day can rewire your brain, turning even genetically predisposed pessimists into light optimists in just 21 days.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And within 30 days, the neuropathways of our brains change completely, turning us into lifelong optimists.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Say what?!⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ And when you practice active gratitude you begin to walk through your days looking for ways to be grateful.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Not a bad way to go about life...so I put it into daily practice with the kids on Sunday.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ So far, stopping to reflect and then share my gratitudes has meant digging pretty deep for my third (and sometimes my second) nearly every day.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 𝘪𝘯 𝘮𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘧𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦, 𝘸𝘦 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘥𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘰𝘧 𝘮𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘰𝘮 𝘮𝘰𝘮 4287 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦𝘴, 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘬𝘪𝘥𝘴 𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘦𝘢𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘣𝘢𝘥 𝘫𝘰𝘬𝘦𝘴 — 𝘢𝘱𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘹 640 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮, 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘯𝘦𝘳 𝘪𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘭𝘪𝘬𝘦 𝘐’𝘷𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘢𝘸𝘢𝘬𝘦 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘳𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘭𝘺 37 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴, 𝘴𝘰 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘨𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘵
AD: Penelope is officially 2 months old & already cooler than I am 😍 She's sleeping through the night, smiling up a storm and shopping at @themetstore 🖼 😉 To get their new baby items too, head to 👉🏻 store.metmuseum.org. I love how all purchases from #themetstore support the Museum’s collection, study, conservation, and presentation of 5,000 years of art. Can't wait to take her here some day in person! In the meantime, she'll be waiting for her invite to #themet Gala 😉
My tiny people. I think I got about an hours sleep last night, but somehow still had such a sweet day with these three. I'll forget the lack of sleep some day, but I don't want to forget Kemp and Keller pretending to drive their tiny Gator to the beach and packing it with all their toys. I don't want to forget Lennon holding out her hand as her brothers drove by to give her high fives. I don't want to forget watching Kemp build legos or snuggling on the couch watching Spider-Man. Oh my little ones, you tire me out as only you can, but you then you go and make me want to do it all again tomorrow #allthoselittlethompsons
Dumpling taught himself how to ride a bike 🚲 without his training wheels yesterday! I’m so proud of this little guy- he can have a hard time calming his emotions and frustrations but he woke up, took the training wheels off, stayed calm practicing and in 5 minutes, he had it down!
Pink walls? 🎈Sustainable seafood? 🐟 Memories of Hawaii? 🏝 Good times with my little fam? 💕 I can support that! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ [#ad] Check out the link in bio to read more about satisfying our wanderlust through our bellies at @caliiloveco, and why supporting local is so important. #monerismatch @moneris
