The toughest and most painful route I’ve ran by far. For once, I told myself, it’s okay not to set a new PR as the route is like literally a multiple and long roller coaster ride. But darn! My alter ego kicked in and pushed myself to do it.. The last 12km was merely a mental game already, I can only run for 3-4min straight and then brisk walk and then run again. Unconsciously, I already did the mind over body strat. But yeah, I did it! I set a new PR, sub5. It's been more than a month since I am out of my hiking and running shoes while I am waiting for my wound to fully restructure and heal. The healing process is hard and God knows how much I miss the outdoors. I ended up pushing back my goals and deadlines this year. There were moments where I felt so frustrated of the slow healing process, jealous of my friends finshing race after race, and agitated of how my patience is being tested. Truth is, I have forgotten how to wait, to let things unfold and open up to a space that is more natural. In this world where everything is "instant", I have forgotten how important the phase of waiting is to build and mold my character. I realized the importance of having people that will encourage and support me in this season. Living in this generation that knows so little about ptience and delayed gratification, I am grateful for the moments where I have to wait. Now I have come to love and embrace the waiting phase, to allow things to develop naturally, in the time they need. To learn to sit with the uncomfortable and allow things to create a certain flow. No pressure, no rushing of things, no running after things. cebu #visayas#philippines#discovercebu#travelgram#wanderlust#wanders#travel#traveller#beach#salty#islandlife#bikini#saltandsand#running#runner#marathon#hiking#hiker#trekker#trekking#mountaineering#teambarc
I just had my most special birthday yet! Instead of the usual all day feast and alcohol drinking, I celebrated my special day by challenging myself physically and mentally. A Trail Run requires not just a trained (I did slightly) body but also a willing spirit. It was 30km of pure awesomeness!! As a newbie runner, I definitely felt some difficulty on the way to the finish line, but thanks to my new family @barckada.club and #teamminato, I was able to counter them with their advices before and during the run. So, I was able to finish with no injury😋 Gaining this achievement on my day is something that I want to share to everyone. I want to share the joy of giving your all. The joy of having the proper mindset, being present, being with the right people, because it is so much more fun to share with everyone😊 (quoting Jack Johnson) Thank you to everyone who took time to greet me on my birthday!! I genuinely love you all!! And hell yeah I'll do it again!! (the run and the birthday😂)
Beautiful Wendy! So pretty and full of fun loving energy! Loves to sit on the couch and watch tv as well as look out the windows and watch the goings on, will definitely chase a cat and tries to chase cars when on a walk, loves to run so a fenced yard to contain her zoomies is needed, an awesome cuddle bug, a dog her size and energy level would be ok with a slow introduction, likes kids but older kids as she plays rough sometimes and could knock them down, likes to play with toys but wants you to do the fetching, loves belly rubs, baths not so much, enjoys car rides, super sweet and silly, great paper shredder, volunteer favorite! Wendy has been waiting 6 months to find her perfect furever home. Please share and help us find someone with a Wendy size hole in their heart to fill. We all love her to pieces! She's a great dog for the right family! Same Event last year but this time, with my very chill team. I can't believe I'd have a running team, I don't even want to jog or think of jogging before😅. I'll be having my first trail run in Bohol next week but I know I can finish with everyone's constant support and encouragement. Basically, what you need from a group, right? Glad to feel all the struggles and leg pain with my @barckada.club. Let's do this more often🏃🏻♂️🏃🏻♀️ also hoping to acquire that Kenyan Stamina. It's out of this world! 🏃🏿♂️
My 7th half mary and 2nd for this year. I usually run alone with my earphones on but in this event, I went out of my comfort zone and tried something that I am not used to which is to have a buddy runner. Thanks and tap at the back to my ka BARC Vin DN coz I might have walked more often if I ran alone.lol With that, I beat my 21K PR. Yey! But the highlight of this event was the “pa-grocery ni 7-eleven” after the race. Kudos to the 7-eleven run 2019 and Congrats to all the runners and finishers! Till next year! #teambarc#barcteam#7elevenrun2019#irunbreakaway#iambreakaway#711run2019
I was very determined to better myself more when the new year came. I followed a beginner's exercise regime at home and disciplined myself every day to follow through. I also hiked and ran more. Running was a surprise, I love the adrenaline and flushed, exhausted feeling I get after. But I would never have thought that I'll be part of an awesome running team here in Cebu. The group is encouraging, supportive and promotes healthy and smart lifestyles. Exactly the kind of people I want to be surrounded with. Thanks, @lakad_ninja, @adventurhon23 &@remzcatapte for making me feel that I belong. The road to 30km trail run is hard for a beginner, but I'll try my best brrrrs!
Thank you Lord for keeping me safe and for giving me strength all throught this running event. This is my very first full marathon and I was in awe when I exceeded my expected time without proper training (only ran once this year og gikugod pag iro then sabak dayon 42k). Thanks to Team BARC for always cheering me up and to those people I get to know in the running community, the smiles and nods really helped me alot in times when my legs are about to give up. Special thanks to my mate Devan for pacing with me in my last 5km. I was about to walk najud taman sa finish line pero maikog sab ta cgeg walk kung naay gatapad.lol To all CCM 2019 finishers, congratulations ! #teambarc#cebumarathon2019
