MEDICAL LEECH THERAPY❤️ (Warning: swipe with caution...it gets real bloody🙄!) . . . Medicinal Leech Therapy are effective at increasing blood circulation and breaking up blood clots. They help with venous congestion. Leeches have “HIRUDIN” natural occurring peptide in their salivary gland that has an anticoagulant property. . . . On my floor (HNT/Plastic Surgery Oncology💝), they help with flap congestions. First time ever to put leeches in the mouth flap which can be scary because they can crawl in the back of the throat. Nurses have to be with the patient the entire process and EVERY HOUR ⏰ (or as ordered). Unfortunately, we can only use the leeches for 1 time use & will have to dispose of it per hospital protocol😲. . . . #nursing#nurse#leechtherapy#teaching#educator#oncology#nursing#rn#leech#leeches#blood#anticoagulant#therapy#gayboy#instagay#fitness#medicine#healthcare#hospitallife#hospital
Photo Journal Day 8: Stopped by my old photo professor’s office to catch up today. When I first became an Art major, he’s the reason I quit. First critique he chewedddd me out for not printing my work on time. Time passed and I joined the Art program again with a better understanding of myself. Things like such did happen again but I didn’t take it personally. If someone needed to chew me out for something, I NEEDED to hear it. Loved having him as my photo professor and to this day still talk to him about work. He’s got a tough job trying to mentor young potential artists while at the same time dealing with the “system” he works under. I admire the hell out this man. Don’t cast out people who are hard on you, you need those people in your life to be better versions of yourself. 📸 . . . . . #atl#atlanta#valdostastate#art#photoblog#photojournal#photooftheday#photography#atlantaphotographer#artprofessor#vsu#mentor#teaching
Do you have students with puppy minds? You know, wandering minds that are focused on what seems like everything else except learning? I love using picture books to facilitate discussions about being present. This one has been sitting in my stack, and I can’t wait to read it the next time we revisit this concept. 🤗Affiliate link is in profile. #readaloud#purposefulreadaloud#igteachers#picturebooks#teaching#iteach2nd#iteach https://amzn.to/2Dh1IIr
3 Day Weekend! ❤️🌼🍁 If you were fortunate enough to have a 3 day weekend for Veteran’s Day, I hope you enjoyed it! I felt a little guilty not doing ANY work (okay, I did answer some emails and uploaded things on TPT 😛), sleeping A LOT, and eating out almost every night, but for the first time, I felt like myself. I actually went to a museum, hung out with friends, my husband, and my dog and I remembered that my life is so full of love and great things! It’s so hard to get caught up in the stress cycle of work, so it’s important to take time and just be yourself! Even if it’s only for 1 day ❤️ What did you do this weekend?
Always a pleasure ramping our new trainers @equinox ... Since a young age I have been interested in teaching - so to have this opportunity to teach all of our new trainers and watch them grow as trainers and more so as people is an incredible experience for me which gives me great joy ... #equinox#personaltraining#teaching#rampers
