The mental health field has taken some pretty great steps in providing supports for women! 🎉 BUT men with our societal standards already weighing heavily on them to be: STRONG 💪 SHOW NO FEAR 🙅♂️ BE THE PROTECTOR 🤼♂️ the list is endless and the worst one is that in order to be a man it means to show no emotions- They need more attention & supports! ——- WE NEED TO ADDRESS THIS NOW ——— . . Men following this page, I am here to tell you that the unrealistic expectations that are put on you are absolute BULLLLLSHIT! You do not have to suffer if you are feeling overwhelmed, anxious, nervous, stressed, hurt, sad WHATEVER- I know it can be pretty foreign to ask for help or talk about what’s going on but please please please know YOU matter, YOU all matter in really big ways!! This isn’t me talking shit or posting this to get more likes- but AS A mental health professional I’m standing on my soap box and screaming IT DOESNT HAVE TO BE LIKE THIS!!! . And one last thing, chicks dig sensitive, vulnerable, blokes! 😏😉 being brave is allowing yourself to be vulnerable. . . Don’t ever change so people will like you. Always be yourself and never try to hide who you really are. Let go of any shame you may have about yourself and let go of the past that’s tearing you up inside. There’s a reason for every mistake and every moment of weakness...grow from it. The only shame is to have shame. When you start respecting yourself and stop apologizing for who you are, you will start noticing how other people will start respecting you. The people that belong in your life will come find you and stay. Just do your thing. Be comfortable in your perfect imperfection.
