Got the best view in the house for the opening of #vividsydney last night, from the rooftop at @sydneyharbouryha 😍 Before the light show even started we also got treated to this epic sunset! 🙌🏼 Swipe through to see the whole view, including the Opera House! ➡️ #yhaoz#therocks
I’m fascinated with the shapes of rock pools and the texture of the rocks and …..who doesn’t love a magical love heart in amongst it all!!? I was just saying hey to this little sausage dog walking his owner along the rocks (he wasn’t too interested in me, just peeing on stuff) and I turned around and there it was. It was meant to be, I needed a little love because lately I’ve been feeling stress more than I usually do! It made me think…how come we associate this shape with a heart when really, it’s nothing like it. So there I was studying, ooops Googling, and here’s some of what I discovered, ‘The heart shape is recognized the world over as a symbol of romantic love and affection, but its historical origins are difficult to pin down. Some believe the iconic pictogram is derived from the shape of ivy leaves, which are associated with fidelity, while others contend it was modeled after breasts, buttocks or other parts of the human anatomy.’ Well there you go!! Reshared by @millionairemint 🌎🌎🌎🌎Reposted from @lydia.horsburgh - Who can't wait until the lights go on at the Vivid Festival at 6pm TODAY? For 3 weeks Vivid Sydney comes alive with mesmerising large-scale illuminations, laser light shows and projections. I've been keeping this a secret 'til now, but I'm running Photo Workshops this year at Vivid😜 Many people over the past 12 months have been asking me to run a workshop, so here I am back shooting at Vivid for the 5th consecutive year. In addition to my "VIP Off The Grid" workshops that have been sold out for a while, I've also now listed a few workshops on Eventbrite. So, no matter your skill level, gender or age, click 'Get Tickets' on my Bio page to book so that you can set your Insta feed on fire with some killer shots of Vivid from the best vantage points in Sydney! I remember how overwhelming it can feel when learning photography, so to ensure that every participant receives plenty of guidance on the night, I've limited my small group 3 hour workshops to 6 participants only. And if you are wanting a customised workshop, I've got a couple of 1:1 workshops available. You can bring an extra person to this workshop free of charge (great for couples or friends). These workshops would also be a fantastic gift for a creative person in your life. If the workshop date you want is not listed or available, please DM because I'll be at Vivid until the end and I'm sure we can work something out. If you also want to be notified of my future "VIP Off The Grid" events where I partner up with 5-star hotels to provide you with a unique experience, drop me your details 😀 . . . . #aussie_images #aussiephotos#australia#australia_shotz #australiagram#australialongexposure#checksydney#exploringaustralia#focusaustralia#globalnightsquad#ig_australia #ig_discover_australia #igerssydney#ilovesydney#longexpolite#newsouthwales#nightphotography
never thought in a million years that i’d be traveling to australia for work, much less having the opportunity to go twice in a year. unbelievably grateful to get to experience what a beautiful place the world is, and constantly pinching myself because i get to do it for a living. thank you @visitmelbourne for the adventure of a lifetime 🇦🇺
Nelson Bay, Australia // Epic night watching the Milky Way move across the sky. Living in the city, these are the moments I miss most. Just being able to see a sky full of bright stars makes me happy but when you can see the Milky Way, while on a beach and listening to the waves crash and nothing else; it’s just perfect. After an hour or two of pretending this was my room/house and the stars were plastered all over my ceiling, I decided it was a good opportunity to practise my astrophotography skills. Didn’t turn out as good as I would like but taking the photo and being the subject (running back and forth on the beach) was not easy so I did the best I could. Any tips on taking better ones next time??
We wouldn't want to be here with anybody else ♥️ Hamelin Bay sunset🌅 We went earlier in the day to check it out and see the local stingrays however the conditions were rough and there was none in sight. Lucky for us they decided to pay us a visit 20 minutes before dark 😁. Well worth checking out if you're visiting the area.
