“You never know how strong you are until being strong is your only choice.” Bob Marley. So often we find ourselves worrying about what the future holds and how we’d deal with life if a multitude of negative situations should arise... However most of us have had to face some pretty terrible hours, days, weeks - YEARS even and survived to tell the tale. We’ve all made it through 100% of our worst days and this is something we should never forget. You can do this 💪you CAN SURVIVE and THRIVE & we are all stronger than we truly know or would like to have to be ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️#lovelarouge #nailedbylarouge#selflove#stronger#selfloving#bodyposotive#art#digitalart#sydneyartist
Sneaky peek at the current commission I’m working on which is being designed to fit a tricky picture niche in my client’s home. I’m just loving the earthy colour palette and love designing custom pieces.

Of warm nights spent between moonlit trees eventually to being carried away in sleep. . . ‘Somewhere Between’ 2019, 65 x 102cm, Watercolour, Gouache and Acrylic on Paper, unframed, available for sale.

Every pair of earrings created by @binkobanko is a piece of wearable art💕 Hand painted on wood by maker Bianca Meakin, the artist finds inspiration from nature, her local community, and the online world, and combines tiny details and elements from her inspirations, into a new form of wearable art👌Each piece never leaves Bianca's hands throughout the entire process, and her heart truly goes into every pair of earrings she makes✨ Choose your own pair of exquisitely painted earrings at out upcoming @olivetreemarket Don't forget that for July only we are held on the second Saturday of the month- July 13th. 9am-3pm. Civic Park. Newcastle
Experimenting with some new colour combos. A few interesting things in this one definitely. One or two more white touches and I reckon it’s nearly there. Way too much wet paint and only had about 25 mins before school pick ups but it was still worth it. ✨✨✨
Moments like these are the reason why I make sure I am always doing something I love, exploring every possibility out there and surrounding myself with people who bring me this much happiness. I reckon every moment in life should look something like this, wearing a smile so big and laughing that hard you can’t breathe. Never be afraid to get out of your comfort zone and worry about what others will think of you, you don’t need to please everyone else... if you’re doing something that you love and that makes you happy, that’s all that matters 😌😌😌 thanks to everyone for all the love and support lately with my work 🎨❤️
Don’t do this at your exhibition launch! My guess is you’ve spent months (maybe years) preparing. So, let’s make the opening of your exhibition a positive, professional experience. We get it. You’re a solo act when it comes to making your art. Cloistered in your studio. But, please… Bring in the troops when you launch your show. It looks dreadful to see the star performer – YOU – walking around with a plate of sausage rolls and a cash book. You are The Artist. Don’t mix the message by trying to juggle the catering, the red dots and the price list. YOU are the magnet for the exhibition, the opening and the sales. Buyers love meeting The Artist and hearing first-hand about the work they’re considering. Answer questions about your art. Explain your work and what it means. (Do this in simple, non-academic, non-jargony words). Work the room and introduce yourself to as many guests as possible. (Remember, they made an effort to come and look at your work; they could be home watching Netflix). This encourages sales, interest in your practice, and recognition of your work. YOUR TO DO LIST Be there. Look terrific. Don’t hide in a corner, hang around the bar with your besties, or stand outside smoking. Work the room. These people are you potential advocates and collectors. Try to ignore irritating statements about your work. Gently educate the person, or pretend someone has called you away. Have your team serve the dips and drinks, manage sales and put up the red dots. (Give them clear instructions. You don’t want to be interrupted while you are being The Artist). Give an opening speech or ask someone terrific to do this. Artists are opening their own exhibitions more often. It’s fabulous, and it might help sales, too. Announce the opening hours and how people can contact you or your gallery. Be proud of yourself no matter the outcome. It’s a milestone, so acknowledge it. Congratulations, YOU did it!
