Let’s talk about floors, shall we? When we moved into this house 25 years ago the floor in this kitchen was in terrible shape. We ripped it up, and installed ceramic tile flooring. Let’s be real here; by “we”, I mean my husband. Piece by piece by piece in this huge room. The man’s a saint. Fast forward to 2 years ago when we ripped up that well-worn ceramic tile floor, and installed a beautiful new hickory hardwood floor. By “we”, I mean we had it professionally installed. The second photo is a shot of our son ripping up that floor. What a crazy messy job that was! Check out the last photo of our gorgeous new floor right after it was finished. Isn’t it a thing of beauty?!! If you’re local and you’re looking to have new flooring installed or your old floors refinished, we highly recommend Wayne Lounder and his team! They do beautiful work at an affordable price, and their customer service is outstanding! And, no, this is in no way a sponsored post. We’re just really thrilled with the work they’ve done for us! Have a glorious Friday, friends! Hope you all stay cool in this heat!
For everyone (like me) that’s been enjoying the “share the process” mentality that’s been floating around IG these days here’s my reminder to you that most of the time my entire life is a work in progress. Every morning theres a huge dog crate in the living room, a child covered in 5 blankets on the sofa, and remnants of breakfast laying around. But hey - the sunflowers I picked yesterday look pretty so let’s celebrate that ☺️
