Jesus is the Buddha of the west. -Thich Nhat Hahn. Some Mahayanists believe that Jesus is an another manifestation of Dharmakaya Buddha. Some say that he is the emanation of Avalokiteshavara Bodhisattva. In Thailand, Ajahn Luang Phor Ruesi Lingdum, famous Thai Tantric Theravada teacher, had said that Jesus is one of the Bodhisattva(the one that will becomes the future Buddha) who lives in Dusita Heaven Realm. Jesus is one with the Buddha. See God through Vipassana(insight meditation). Heaven of the Lord is in Every Present Moment, Here and Now. The Nature(Dhamma) is God itself. Amen and Sadhu. Art : Modern Thanka art of the life of Jesus Christ ; Unknown Artists. #buddha#jesus#tibetan#tibet#thanka#crucifix#save#heaven#amen#namo#dhamma#christ#light#art#modern#god#vajrayana#manifest#lord#sutra#meditation#nature
Staying near Sāvatthī. “Monks, if someone were to give a gift of one hundred serving dishes (of food) in the morning, one hundred at mid-day, and one hundred in the evening; and another person were to develop a mind of good-will—even for the time it takes to pull on a cow’s udder—in the morning, again at mid-day, and again in the evening, this [the second action] would be more fruitful than that (the first). “Thus you should train yourselves: ‘Our awareness-release through good-will will be cultivated, developed, pursued, given a means of transport, given a grounding, steadied, consolidated, & well-undertaken. That’s how you should train yourselves.” - Lord Buddha (Source: dhammatalks.org)
I love the story of Astavakrasana (eight angle pose). Cursed by his father, Astavakra was born crippled in eight places in his body and with the Vedas (sacred yogic texts) illumined in his soul. As he grew, the teachings thrived within him, for they were all he saw. When he was grown, he traveled to the Kingdom to commune with other atman. It took him a long time to journey with his disabilities and was met with jeers and laughter for his challenges when he finally got there. ‘What cobblers,’ he said, in ear shot of the King. ‘They know only the flesh and nothing of atma (soul).’ This is how Astavakra, the ‘cripple’ became yoga teacher of Kings. This story calls me to use my body given to do the work of the soul. It calls me to see more than a sea of bodies all around me; to meet and connect in the collective soul. Here in the love, the light, our oneness, Om. 🙏 #yogateacher, #tribe5, #loudounyoga, #sutra, #asana, #yogalife, #writersofig
