It might be hard It might be scary It might be tiring But you have to keep going and don’t stop until you have accomplished your goal no matter what Do Not Quit or Give In You Can You Will You Must 🙌🔥🦁🙏
I do always tell this to myself and to my friends. You can achieve just about anything, just not everything. And the story you tell yourself about why you can or can’t do something.. whatever you say, you are right. We write out own destiny, and seal our fate by our beliefs, our actions, our choices, our decisions, and by simply these stories we tell ourself of why we can or can’t do something.
Goal setting can be scary, not because the goals themselves are so scary or difficult or hard to achieve, but because they are actually possible. People don’t fear scary things like jumping out of an airplane or fighting a lion as much as they fear everyday things such as staying in a relationship because it’s comfortable, a job that is ok because it’s comfortable, and not going and doing something outside of the circle of comfort. Try writing a bunch of things down that you’d like to achieve in the next year that may be difficult but could be done. Just by writing those things down, you significantly increase your odds of achieving them (in the next year and if not the next year at some point in the semi near future). Try it out!
Man aspires to be great, to conquer death, conquer fear, conquer life, conquer the heavens, the stars, the solar system and universe But the more we progress, the more we learn that there is very little we can actually do.. we learn so much, grow so much, strive and aspire and push so hard But at the end of the day, we are human, mortal, fallible and are simple creatures, simple beings We can be like a star: only flicker brightly let off a beautiful, momentary light and then be off Perhaps our light is seen for generations ahead .. and we impact the future and others around us and ahead of us, in some small but meaningful way This makes a life beautiful and makes it truly well lived💙
In the past we lived in the working man’s world: we were limited by what we could do. Today we live in the thinking man’s world and are limited only by what we can dream up, think of, create, invent or imagine.☀️🦁
Whenever you catch that things are getting a bit too comfortable with training or with other parts of your life, it’s a sign that things need to change and be made uncomfortable in some way. This is the only way to grow.. and comfort is the enemy of growth in many respects 😠👌
Momentum goes both ways. You’re either getting better or you’re getting worse. There’s no staying in one place or staying stagnant really. You’re getting better or you’re not. Doesn’t take a ton of work each day but a little bit of work each day simply goes a long way. 💪
Your values are revealed, displayed, shown not in what you feel you care about or think you care about but what you actually do in your day to day. Maybe you think you value exercise but you don’t as much as you really think. Your values are reflected by what you do. Someone may not think they value health all that much for example but they make sure they go out of their way to eat home cooked meals and not deep fry or consume overly processed foods for example. Your values are reflected in what you do. The more you align to them and start to understand and figure them out, and then hang around people who’s values align with your own, the happier you can get to be and the more you can get to enjoy life. Surround yourself with people who share your values and the world becomes a little bit brighter, more cheerful, and more beautiful over all. 😊
I feel this way about powerlifting training and nutrition and all that. Fail, innovate, and in the process find a beautiful, smart, unique, and different, more effective way to achieve what you want. Find your own way. You don’t need to reinevent the wheel but simply find what works for you. And play around with that, tweaking, changing, and experiment with things testing things and changing things around and up over the years. 👌
From: How To Win at the Sport of Business, by @mcuban ... for anyone interested, this is a great small book on business... I read it in an hour, first when I was 18, and it is still very useful, practical, and applicable today.💰💰😬
The strongest guy isn’t the guy who looks the strongest, but often the skinny kid who doesn’t even look like he lifts. It’s not what you look like or how you are on the outside, but what you’re made of and built of on the inside and the inner strength you’ve grown and cultivated that matters. I thin the above quote on design is a similar concept. Yea you can look a certain way, but what can you do, what are you made of? That’s one of the things that attracted me to strength. No one knows whether you are strong or not till you decide to display and show it or not. Till then, they can only look into your eyes and guess😉
