Part of the reason of becoming a nurse is to guide people into helping the less fortunate feel better. From past experiences, I can only help those who have the desire to change. Only them, themselves must realize whatever behavior they are wanting to change...the benefits must outweigh the risks. Or just be aware what they were diagnosed is sucking the life out of them. A person going through behavior change is in either one of the 4 phases: Precontemplation, Contemplation, Preparation, Action, and Maintenance. PCP"AM". A person may want to change their PCP drug problem if they are craving for PCP "in the morning!"

Do you guys keep a journal? ❇ . . . That's mine in the background :> I got this particular one almost a year back and I'm almost finished the first insert- so half of the journal (and yes, I know it's taking me forever). I used to journal weekly but now I do it whenever I feel like sharing thoughts because I got so busy in the second semester. I'm trying to catch up and journal more often this summer! . . . My very first journal, however, was just a regular, lined a5 notebook which I began to adorn with photos I took, then ones I downloaded and washi tapes; in fact, it was the subject of my account here on insta initially! So now you know, I started off as a journal account, and you can still find the spread timelapse videos on my IGTV 😂 What I want to say though, is I believe everyone should have someone or something they can confide in. I've never been much of a talker, so you can imagine that I never spoke about things that bothered me but letting all that go on paper is really nice, so I highly encourage you all to do it. When you write your thoughts down, you perceive them differently- they become real and concrete. I feel, as a result, it's easier to work out problems that way too. I've begun to voice my concerns (I assume this is linked) now too- and well, life's just much easier that way c: . . . . . . . . . . . . . #studyhard#studysmart#studymode#studylife#instastudy#studyaccount#study_time #student#stdymotivation#studyspo#studyinspo#psychologystudent#classmates#studyblog#studyblr#studygram#textbook#homework#notesaesthetic#notesgram#handwriting#journal#journaljunkie#lettering#bujogram#showmeyourplanner#brownaesthetic#tumblraesthetic#стадиграм#deskshot

#mefirst and possibly #beachfirst Because the BIGGEST issues facing college women today is guilt, shame and burnout. Which means, behind closed doors, college women have already been discussing, internalizing and battling all of these ^^ truths for some time. They already know that the strategies they've been trying to apply from all the youtube videos they're binging aren't working. They already know that the way colleges are built isn't currently designed and tailored for them. They already know nothing is holding true and that continuing to do higher ed in this way isn't going to work. This is why, it's not enough to have a planner, tutoring centers, office hours and academic services. No matter how many youtube videos you watch on studying, no matter how many apps you download to help you stop procrastinating it's never going to be enough because the problem isn't that you don't know enough. The REAL issue is most college women don't believe they are smart enough, talented enough, and worthy enough of college and life success. And colleges and universities aren't doing enough to help with these outdated and unrealistic standards being placed on us. There is a shift happening in how you desire to experience your higher education and I know you can feel it. Before you search for how to create the perfect study schedule. Before you search for how to stop procrastinating. Before you search for how to stay motivated. Before you continue to tear yourself down wondering why you're not enough. You need real answers and I plan to give them to you over the next few weeks in a series I’m calling A Reclamation - around what it means to be brilliant and successful in an environment that constantly tells you you're not enough. My only question for you is: Are you ready for this level of raw honesty from me and this level of self-reflection from yourself?
FAQ: What do you use your SONY recorder for? The first step to studying effectively is first determining the type of learner you are. There are four types of learning styles: 1. Visual, 2. Auditory, 3. Reading/Writing and 4. Kinesthetic. I have further broken down examples of what each learning style consists of: 1.A visual learner processes information using charts and graphs, needs images to explain concepts and ideas and or prefers using graphic elements over words. 2.An auditory learner learns best when information is spoken, prefers lectures and discussions and processes information by talking through things. 3.A reading/writing learner prefers to receive written words, enjoys reading and writing assignments and processes information by writing notes. 4.A kinesthetic learner learns best through tactile processes, prefers to create concrete personal experiences and processes information by recreating and practicing. In nursing school I found myself reading and writing notes for hours at a time and not retain any of the information causing me to fail or score extremely low on exams/quizzes. A friend of mine suggested that I take a quiz available online to help determine the type of learner I was. The results for the quiz showed that I was both an auditory and kinesthetic learner. Since reading and writing notes was not helpful in retaining information, I began to voice record my notes as well as record lectures from my instructors (if it was allowed). When I had downtime or needed to review for an exam, I listened to my recorded notes or lectures with my headphones. I also found that teaching someone else the information I learned during study sessions helped me understand and remember the information better. Knowing the style in which I learned best, saved me time when studying and helped me retain the information needed in order to be successful in my classes. What type of learner are you? References 4 types of learners in education. (2017, October 12).
Whatever syllabus you're doing, there's always a component called literary appreciation/critical analysis/literary devices. . . This is probably the most challenging part for many: 'I've already tried to explain the meaning of a certain quote and offer a sophisticated interpretation, but how come I'm still not getting a good grade for the component?' There are things you must do to get the top score, but doing just this one thing will help improve your current grade. . . This thing is so obvious that most of us simply forgot to do! Just do this one thing when you're analyzing a quote, and your examiner will be unconsciously influenced by you. It's like giving your marker a cue to mark you up in the critical component. This is so easy that you can do it RIGHT NOW and see the effect immediately. . . Whenever you see a task assessing critical appreciation, name the literary device (correctly, of course) in your quote. That's it. Naming the device is the clearest and most direct way to make your examiner notice there's a critical component to be marked. Check your essays and see whether you're naming the devices properly. Check the meaning of each device so you identify them correctly. . . Those who have sent me your work, I'm already checking them. Getting back to you all soon ;) Now that exams are mostly done, take time to rest a bit. More tips on improving your grade in a short time coming soon. Cheers. . . #studysmart#rightmethod#savetime#jkliterature#badtogood#goodtobest
